Perhaps, but then he mustn't say he "completed" the Soweto marathon as that gives the impression he ran/walked the entire 42.2km, which is far more of an achievement than 10km (trust me, I'm a runner and only do up to half-marathons (21.1km) and that requires a fair amount of commitment (usually a 3 month plan), but 10km I don't do any extra/special training).After this explanation I am even more confused, is there a difference between the Soweto race and the Soweto marathon?
Is the 10km he completed not part of the Soweto marathon?
