SA Politics Thread Part 12

In Rapport today, it says that so far, there is no one contesting JS for leadership at Congress.

Uncontested wins like Mbeki got in 1997 and 2002 conferences inbound for John?

Yeah it's idiotic. The rightwing lobby aren't taking a principles stance, they are looking after their own interests. Trump is the vehicle giving them an ear this time.

The world has changed from the rules based society implemented in 1947 by the UN to a raw power society after decades of disillusionment with, and the hijacking of the rules based society by weak actors who kept poking the stronger actor bears. It's now FAFO time for the weak bear pokers.

Yet another of SA's lamestream media outlets spreading 'disinformation' and having to apologise to Afriforum - AGAIN!

Yep. From X:

Another apology to AfriForum.

Citizen admits that it breached the Press Code by claiming that AfriForum spreads misinformation. This now amounts to a double-digit number of apologies to AfriForum and Solidarity.

Media houses simply swallowed ANC propaganda and now have to issue apologies one after another.

@TheChamp Any comments?

I doubt this will implode the DA's chances in December/January but go off.

It is unfortunate that stupid shyte like this becomes a public spat, and it will have SOME impact, but I'd tend towards the some impact being largely negligible, its merely an excuse for those who dislike the DA to have a bit of a rant about how bad/poor/whatever they are like Champy over there.

We've always lived in raw power society. Rules based order is a farce. It gives us semblance of (hollow) power.

No, we haven't. The rules based society created by the UN in 1947 allowed the ankle biters of the world to have a say and poke the bear. What you are seeing now regarding Venezuela and Iran are only the opening shots of raw power.

It was an illusion. These organisations were a way for powerful countries to maintain control over lesser countries. The laws and principles established were never exercised on powerful countries.

No. Countries such as Equatorial Guinea have atrocious corruption and human rights abuse scandals but no one ever bats an eyelid. Why? Powerful countries have access to their resources. What Maduro was doing to Venezuelans is precisely what Nguema Mbasongo is doing to his country.

Is that a good thing though?

Maybe you should distinguish the differences between Afrisol and AfriForum:

Afrisol was established to be a one-stop marketplace for many African retailers, vendors, service providers, and buyers. Our mission is to remove most barriers which tend to impede trading in African products, making it easy for suppliers and customers alike. We do that by providing the tools needed to connect buyers and sellers globally. We aim at providing a platform that makes available most African products and services as well as other resources to people living in every corner of the Globe.

AfriForum is a non-profit civil rights organisation that was established on 26 March 2006. The organisation was created to call up Afrikaners to participate in public debate and actions outside of the sphere of party politics.

You should be rather hesitant to use the word hypocrisy when comparing your employer to any other organisation. Or would you also like to issue a public apology to AfriForum, seeing that it is becoming quite popular to do so?

Afrisol is a shortened version of Afriforum and Solidariteit Mr Facts Unlimited, because they are birds of the right wing feather.

Either way , Redi is being a stupidt.
Afriforum & Solidariteit concern themselves with the affairs of Afrikaners not Greenlanders.
Afrisol concerns itself with the affairs of African businesses not Greenlandic businesses.
Why should either be commenting on what the US is doing in Greenland ?
Fokkit...talk about false equivalence to make a very long crybaby stretch.

ANC struggling to stay relevant. The last days of the Great Liberation Party now only know as a Party of Thieves.

No, it's not. They are separate organisations. As is AgriForum. Get your apology ready.
