Speaking of Darlene... whatever happened to Liam Jacobs?

He still posts on the Twitter all the time, now ripping into the DA and then getting completely eviscerated in the comments because it was all good when he was in the DA, now that he's not its a problem.

My take is that the DA shouldn't ignore the PA. You can claim that no area in City of Cape Town as rural as George municipality, but I think that the DA may see a serious decline in votes in Cape Town and the Western Cape broadly in 2026/27.
Yes, it is almost certain the PA will come 3rd in CoCT. I'm expecting the PA to get between 7-10% of the vote in CoCT. The PA actually suffers in Cape Town specifically because of the Cape Coloured Congress, Al-Jamah and other coloured nationalist parties, which splinters the anti-DA vote.

Can we also say that the DA will probably lose votes to white nationalist parties like the FF?

If X is to be believed, yes. I will need to see more evidence than the one by-election result to convince me though. Let's just hope there are a few more DA/FF by-election contests before the municipal elections. There are some in the DA who are expressing dissatisfaction with Steenhuisen, but also I don't see anyone challenging Steenhuisen for the leadership, but that might come back to bite them.

Interesting times ahead, first for the DA leadership race and then the LGE. I look forward to seeing your posts as the year progresses.

That's fine, if they want to experience the governance that collapsed Knysna then we shouldn't stand in their way. Dumbasses in the WC don't know how good they have it. A city that works is so boring that they seek excitement by voting for a criminal...

ive been saying this for the last year

But then you get people like champy... Buuut racists....

Not going into how wrong this guy was. He should hang.
But i have serious questions on how this guy even managed to be a official school transport driver based on that nothing was in place to even think he should have been ok'd for it
IMO the department should be charged alongside him for negligence
