In SA it's legal to disrespect the President, national organisations and religious institutions. I don't think that freedom of speech would hurt Poland's economy. Similarly, I don't think that legalising gay marriage would undo Polish growth rates.

I bet you if you get your human rights wish then their strict immigration laws goes out the window.

Apparently it’s a crime to chew gum in Singapore. They can do this because of no human rights issues.

Uk it’s a crime now to spit and swear in public, and have no defecating signs now in certain places where people take a dump on the sidewalk and they have human rights.

I know which world I would like to live in.

The problem is, strict human rights lawyers make it very challenging to deport people. In the UK, it's a massive problem when illegal immigrants cite Article 8 of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to allow them to stay in the UK, even after they've committed crimes.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is considering deploying the army to gang violence hotspots in South Africa, but warns that soldiers are not trained like police officers.
“A call has been made to deploy the army, and the army as it engages in any situation are not police people, they do not investigate,” he said. “When they see someone doing wrong, they see them as an enemy and they shoot to kill.”

These are grassroots parties with some footprint in communities they operate in. They already have something going on therefore, no need for ASA to start from scratch. If they target these grassroots parties with established presence and infrastructure, they might make inroads into ANC strongholds.

Why not deploy more specialised teams such as TRT mixed with more normal POP? Better equipped to deal with drug vermin.
