What is the ANC’s election strategy for the 26/7 LGE? All I’ve seen is painful moaning and crying about the DA’s candidates. Do you have your own candidates with a successful track record at governing at the local level?

I assure you that the free publicity for the DA’s candidates is not a winning formula
For us to know and for DA supporters to worry about their own strategy.

Sure, start a separate thread about it, instead of hijacking this one, don't be a hypocrite, you are the one who started this thread because you had a problem with the DA is in crisis thread.
The titles of these political threads are always meant to capture the current political state with a tinge of humor. “Death of the ANC” is both true and comical - as in everyone laughs and laughs in mass optimism and hope at the mere thought of the complete annihilation of the GLM

Yes we are very worried about the ANC’s election strategy. You can see if with all the mass outrage at the ANC’s mayoral candidates that have been announced

What can the ANC honestly campaign on? They tried renewal at the last elections, but they told renewal to go fck itself and no one believes in renewal the second time round.

They have zero governance success stories.

They have no inspirational, loved or trusted leaders.

Their own president said their main enemy is better than them.

They have been reduced to 10 year old tired arguments of “what about <insert township>”, when their own townships are complete hell holes.

What could even the best PR company in the world come up with?

We've already seen their campaign.

Apartheid, bad old days etc etc.

There has already been an uptick in the what about paid for posts on Facebook going "look at Capetown and how bad it is to be poor"..

Even that would be impressive. The ground troops support everything that isn’t DA (they are ActionSA’s biggest supporters). But then their commander in chief came out guns blazing in support of the DA. It seems like he doesn’t even know what the message is.

Apartheid etc are tired old stories that don’t resonate with anyone but the Anele and Daily Mavericks of the world.

Genuinely their main thrust seems to be “please don’t vote DA”, which is an election losing strategy. Just ask the DA who’ve tried it many times before

If you want such a thread, create one, it's cowardice of the highest order to want to capitalize on the popularity of this one and hijack it to drive your agenda, besides that, there is a history to this thread, it did not just happen.

But it is sorted now, let's move on.

Watching the comments on the obvious posts on the boob are evident that even the apartheid and Capetown bad angles are losing strategies.

Is this your thread? If not, stfu.

The OP named it what he wanted to, if you had a problem with it you should have started your own.

Has the DA finally stumbled on an election winning strategy or where exactly is this newly found bravado coming from?

The DA retained a black-majority ward in Ethekwini just last week....running rings around the DA indeed.

Key word is retained, we also retained our ward in Limpopo.

The question is, why is the DA still so bangbroek to contest by elections in Soweto? Especially since Zille is apparently going to be our Mayor?

Not like any is needed for us to run rings around a stagnant 20% party.

Ah come on, even you must be getting tired of coming up with bad things to say about the DA, when they are the better party. It must be tiring for you.

Even your own president said the DA outperforms the ANC and the ANC need to learn from the DA.
Listen to your president.
