Ah come on, even you must be getting tired of coming up with bad things to say about the DA, when they are the better party. It must be a tiring for you.

Even your own president said the DA outperforms the ANC and the ANC need to learn from the DA.
Listen to your president.
Saying the DA is 20% party is not a bad thing, It's a fact.

Key word is retained, we also retained our ward in Limpopo.

The question is, why is the DA still so bangbroek to contest by elections in Soweto? Especially since Zille is apparently going to be our Mayor?
Watch the DA do well in Soweto during the actual municipal election - they will probably get their highest share ever due to the power of uGogo.

The titles of these political threads are always meant to capture the current political state with a tinge of humor. “Death of the ANC” is both true and comical - as in everyone laughs and laughs in mass optimism and hope at the mere thought of the complete annihilation of the GLM
I'm not worried tbh. Takes a lot more than a few left wing terrorists to worry me. The title obv touched their studios a bit too delicately so I did the reports for the changes. These polical threads go long before he joined the forum and we're active for years before the great reset with the new forum software.
Back then it was a decent group even with mixed political ideologies and some beer was drunk a few times opposite the jse building.

Now there are some I would never drink a beer with

Saying the DA is 20% party is not a bad thing, It's a fact.

Sure just like the ANC are a 40% party.

Difference is the DA are on the up, while the people of SA are tired of 30 years of broken promises by the ANC and are on the way down.

Sure, the actual election will come but why are you avoiding by elections in Soweto, I think it's the biggest region in JHB.
The DA high command don't think it's worth their time to compete in by-elections there, I guess? It's all about allocation of resources. Much better for uGogo to quietly campaign for the next year and shock the ANC during the actual municipal election. We don't want the ANC to know that we're building up support in their strongholds - sort of like how MK shocked the ANC in KZN.

Has the DA finally stumbled on an election winning strategy or where exactly is this newly found bravado coming from?
Why not follow your president's advice and go visit a DA-run municipality and the DA's election winning strategy will be as clear as day.

Zille will win a huge proportion of the black vote in JHB. Prove me wrong

@TheChamp keeps referring to the 20% party - is that his new name for the ANC?

You and Co. together with the moderators here think you are slick.

We'll see how that ends for you. 😊
Here you go:

My cup of cantcaretwofucks runneth over.

What can the ANC honestly campaign on? They tried renewal at the last elections, but they told renewal to go fck itself and no one believes in renewal the second time round.

They have zero governance success stories.

They have no inspirational, loved or trusted leaders.

Their own president said their main enemy is better than them.

They have been reduced to 10 year old tired arguments of “what about <insert township>”, when their own townships are complete hell holes.

What could even the best PR company in the world come up with?
Oi! What about the new 5G smart city?

Oh, wait, nvm.

Nothing happened after Zondo, why would they do anything now?
Nothing will come from it.
No proof given
A lot of it is hearsay
There is the constitutional item : innocent untill proven guilty.
As much as I want to fry some of them I can't
I'm not a anc/asa lover who breaks the law
