SA Politics Thread Part 12

Mental gymnastics are being seen once Mkhwanazi started implicating Diane & Breytenbach.

How old were we when Ms Madonsela was apple of the eye of DA mybb members? And how it all fell apart spectacularly ?

Thats what happens when you turn into a SJW... it doesn't go down well with WMC.

You forget she was in the ANC? You don't think she has information that would be REALLY bad for the ANC if it came out? You are pretty naïve aren't you.
No, I am not forgetting anything, she was never in the ANC, she was a member of the PAC at the time.

Is this your way of saying she has nothing on the ANC?
First she was brave enough because she has protection as a Politician

- MPs don't have protection.

Then she was brave because she has files on fellow ANC members since she was an ANC member.

- But she has never been an ANC
member.

At some point you need to accept when nothing is going your way and let it go.

What we can all agree on is she's a political ho, the OG who Jimmy Manyi aspired to be. What's this now after the merger, her 5th party?

“SA is underexplored today because it has had a very unsupportive policy for exploration for the past 20-odd years. That’s a very important part of a mining life cycle,” said Wanblad.

“It takes about 17 years to go from finding a deposit to getting to full production. That’s a generation of mines that have been forgone.”
“We can be transformative in growing the country and building new mines, but we are behind the curve because it takes very strong leadership and supportive policy to do that,” said Wanblad.

“Not only does it take [17 years] for the mine [to reach production], but it also takes another five or six years to ramp it up before it pays anything back.

“During that time, you need a relatively stable political environment and good, transparent fiscal policies. I think that’s part of the challenge that we have got to face.”

Another ANC success story.

The cadre's "renaming to distract" strategy isn't going to work on the Deokarans.

  • The family of slain whistleblower Babita Deokaran has rejected calls to rename Tembisa Hospital after her, citing its current state of corruption and poor conditions.
  • They believe the best way to honour her is by making the hospital free of corruption, improving staff conditions, and delivering quality care.
  • The family remains open to renaming it in the future if significant reforms are made.

Maybe they can name it after Morgan Maumela or Vusi Matlala because that's never going to happen...

Maybe your English isn't as good as you thought? Protection doesn't always mean a troop of body guards.

hmm.. only 30 years ?
The lease, which dates back over thirty years, was a quiet arrangement that recently came under the scrutiny of the city’s renewed efforts to audit its assets and revenue streams. The termination of the agreement signals a decisive end to this long-standing arrangement, but it is the accompanying multi-million rand bill that has caused alarm.

"Quiet arrangement" is code for when someone leases you valuable property for something like ten bucks a year

That's a sweet apartheid deal he had, but I am sure he still wakes up every day and moan about 147 race laws.

What a patriotic man. Leasing out his property for R10 bucks a year. Do you have access to the lease ?
