Interesting nugget from McKenzie here which raises questions about our young TikToker's change of heart from running as PA candidate for mayor in Tshwane to CT.

The ANC also refused to appoint PA MMC Liam Jacobs to replace Kunene while Kunene he was under investigation.

It is all very well that they want to , but the bigger question is whether the DA will allow them to

Based on past performances and actions I wouldnt let them, kingmaker or not
They have shown in past alliances with the DA they are not to be trusted
They have been the direct cause of Metro instability because as soon as someone offers them a wad of money they shift their alliance in 2 seconds.

This is the problem when corruption and theft seem to be a widely accepted phenominum

DA need to win 50+1 and then you will see all these splinter parties die very quickly

And personal animosity between parties.

E.g. on paper, an ASA/DA coalition would work great, but ASA in general has an axe to grind with the DA and is willing to sink coalitions to stick it to them.

They fell to 40% when it was predicted (especially here) that they'd get 48 - 52%.

Who would possibly sponsor you if they collapse, PR candidate?

This whole "leaving GNU" thing of PA bothers me:
  • It could be a ploy to distance themselves in prep for 2026
  • Gayton got typically touched and decided to collapse a coalition for no other reason
  • Gayton is running from something
