They probably did at some point, before they went right wing. If I asked you now when last they did you will probably not remember, simply because they have been avoiding by elections not just in Soweto but in many other majority black townships.

Let me spell it out to you, the ANC competes in all DA held ward by elections, the DA does not compete in all ANC held ward by elections, they avoid doing so because a defeat is embarrassing and messes up with their carefully crafted PR strategy of pretending to be a party that is seeing massive growth.

Orania is not an ANC or DA stronghold so I have no idea why you think it's relevant in the discussion.
