Well..to be fair he does know how to get away with a just a suspended sentence on 18 convictions for trading stolen goods... and we're not talking about a few chappies from corner cafe here.
I reckon if I was a crim caught red handed, I wouldn't mind this oke giving my lawyer some inside info.

Not sure that is about knowing the law and more about knowing some mafia GLM "pals"

"pals" referring to owned puppets of course, cos the mafia GLM lot don't do anything for free.

Yes...It is "knowing the law" in the South African context.

edit. In any case, "The Law" is so shytely applied in SA at the moment that even if you don't have GLM connections, chances of getting caught, convicted and spend any time behind bars is pretty slim.
