Generally he would be given the benefit of doubt any day of the week and twice on Sundays, but the media is taking sides in the DA's factional battles, I have a feeling all John aligned Ministers are going to be experiencing some very hostile treatment from the media.I must admit, I'm reading that situation slightly different than News24 are trying to put it across.
Solly has still fscked up in my opinion, but it seems more that he is trying to follow process to the letter and not give someone an opportunity to challenge an outcome in court.

I think I have figured out what is happening, John has always been a party person, despite what anyone thinks of him, he rose within the party and earned his ranks, unfortunately for him he doesn't seem to have any influencers on the founders and powers that be behind the scenes, which has never been a problem as long as he wasn't throwing his weight around. It was always going to happen, its just hugely disappointing to see it play out.
All the DA Ministers are going to be experiencing hostile treatment from the media now that they've been in their places for some time and everyone is expecting huge changes.
The hoi polloi misunderstood the purpose of things like G20. It was meant to be a spectacle for SA with the usual pledges by rich countries. Did they expect factories to grow out in 2 days of talking? Idiots!
Get a grip man. Maybe the Motsepes were well off, I’m not sure, but that does nothing to change the fact that Patrice was hand picked for BEE deals, and that is what made him his fortune. He was one of the lucky few selected by the ANC to benefit massively from BEE, along with Ramapoesa and Sexwhale.Black business people in those days were not that rich, the difference is that they understood the value of money because they worked hard for it, I don't recall any child of a businessman driving around in expensive cars and acting big, standing at the till in your father's shop after school was the greatest flex.
My local guy had a Mercedes Benz E class, a Nissan Sani and a truck, that's it, no supercar convoy to Durban July and all that nonsense. So they made money, sent the children to school, put some away in a bank and reinvest some the way Mashaba's guy, it all adds up after a while.
Motsepe's were always rich but no one knew of them until Patrice Motsepe, and even with him it's not like he flaunts money, it's just with the internet, everyone knows everyone's business.
I am glad you managed to get that off your chest but my point had nothing to with Patrice.Get a grip man. Lack of black entrepreneurs...lol.....
Are you black? They are usually white.
Most of the city is still pretty ****. The lipstick they applied was to only small parts of the city.
That's nonsense from idiot right wingers. SA doesnt fund infrastructure from donations
Surely none of this was possible under Apartheid?Black business people in those days were not that rich, the difference is that they understood the value of money because they worked hard for it, I don't recall any child of a businessman driving around in expensive cars and acting big, standing at the till in your father's shop after school was the greatest flex.

It is how you guys pay most of the taxes despite 147 laws, meneer. Exactly same logic.Surely none of this was possible under Apartheid?
Who is "you guys"?It is how you guys pay most of the taxes despite 147 laws, meneer. Exactly same logic.
Your type? Yes, BEE is just reverse apartheid.Who is "you guys"?
It appears then that Apartheid was just as bad as BEE? Am I understanding your comment correctly?
