SA Post Office Strike

Turns out that the one package has been at the post office since last week and the other has been there a few weeks longer.
 
Wonderful SAPO tracking system, a pity they have not trained the staff and the system is down most of the time...
 
I picked mine up at the po,I use a app that notifies me when it's at the office.The slip they send you well that takes forever to get to you.I use the official sapo app and trackchecker

Not always
Parcel arived at local post office according to tracking . Slip was delivered to my house next day

You guys found parcels (envelopes) with no tracking goes faster than something with tracking no
My parcel with tracking no took 2 months
My parcel with no tracking no took 1 month straight to my house
 
Same here. Ebay free postage items take on average 1month to get to me, but I now have one with a tracking number and its only moved once since coming in on the 11th
 
Is there a difference between eBay and Aliexpress? It seems like Aliexpress takes longer on average, about seven weeks whereas eBay takes three weeks for delivery on free shipping.

This makes no sense! I got to items yesterday, one order on Nov 06, 2016 the other on Oct 25, 2016 - but I am still waiting for stuff from Oct 9, 2016 !!!
 
This was my longest wait for a registered item,usually 3-4 weeks and it's in my hand
 
Just collected a parcel with tracking number which came in on the 11th of last month...
 
It looks like my parcel left on the 3rd after arriving for the second time on the 21st, but it's still nowhere to be seen. Are they having sleepovers while transporting it a few km's?

Something funky is going on at the Somerset West post office... have not been getting ANY notifications of late. Somerset mall branch phoned me up a week or so ago for a parcel that have been with them for a month+!

And it is not like they will allow me to go and rummage through their parcels ...
 
They really do seem exceptionally slow at the moment. Compared to things that arrived just a couple of months ago, it seems to be almost an extra month worth of delay added to incoming packages from China.

As with so many issues with South African institutions, I just wish they communicated better what the situation was.
 
Good lord. A package was sent to me on the 12th Oct, and I'm still waiting for it.. I called SAPO a week or two ago and they said it hasn't been scanned in yet, so I can't get a local tracking number. Sheesh, over 2 months now! I've emailed [email protected] and waiting for their reply
