SA telecoms pricing

Is it just me or do the data bundle prices make no sense?

Are they comparing the SA low cap bundles to uncapped in Chile, Korea, Brazil and Malaysia, since 1GB and 10GB cost the same in those countries?

Agreed.
I think the reason telecommunication and everything else in this country is so high,
and why service is not what it ought to be, could partially be because some people have nothing constructive to do,
so they sit and write crap like this to try and justify their salary. And then i waste my time reading it (suddenly scrabbles to look busy @ desk :o)

Most of the cables that Telkom use to deliver bandwidth has been paid threefold... 100% profit on any cost related to cables.

I am a fanatic when it comes to medieval gaming! (L2 for example)
Then I saw a post by Lightscribe where he said that ICASA people should have public floggings!

This is right up my alley!
Put a yoke on them and put them out to display in the village square where you can flog em and squesch old food in their faces.
Roll on the medieval times!

Fitting is it not that these people are giving us Medieval connectivity at modern day rip off prices?

So, the survey is complete, does anyone think !CASA is actually going to do anything about it worthwhile to the country?
Or are they just going to justify their ridiculous costs again? Blame apartheid? Lack of staff on their side to enforce anything they come up with? Blame the high cost of international?
Seriously, when are we going to stop seeing articles about how it is and how it's magically going to change (at some unknown point in the future), and start seeing some action?

How the hell do they think they can compare other countries' uncapped to our 1GB. That is utter BS.

+1

It is simply "jobs for buddies" at our expense.
In the whole history of democratic countries, we are the laughing stock!

I am sure that we are the only country where, if brains were milk, there would not be enough of it in government to float a single cornflake!
Where else will you find people with little or no knowledge of an industry trying to regulate that industry? It is this incompetence that the BIG BUSINESS people thrive on and this stupidity is what they use to screw you out of your hard earned buck!.

SO with big business supporting the ignorance of government, do you think you will ever get a good deal from them? NEVER!!

WAKE UP SOUTH AFRICA!!
