I think he would have been 6th with aiden.


Think they were looking at:

1.Aiden
2.Qdk
3.Tony
4.Brevis
5.Miller
6.Ferreira
7.Linde
8.Jansen
9.Bosch/Ngidi
10.Keshav
11.Kg

Now they have 2 options as far as I see it. Play linde as nr 6 and play both bosch & ngidi. Or pick 6 out and out batsmen and leave aiden as the sole 6th bowling option.
 
I'd take Rickelton for Tony and Baartman for Don.

How often do you have to dig deep into your batting lineup in T20? If you looking at your 6, 7 and 8 to bring you home, you already in a deep hole.

I'd go in with an extra bowler every game. That's if you don't have a world class all rounder, or 2 or 3.

Good news for JSK today. No chance of a washout. It is ma-hoerse hot and windy down here, so there will be a result. Bad news is they are so bereft of players, I could probably make a viable case for selection...

you guys are more then welcome to provide any cricketing reasons why a guy with zero t20's at first class level an no stats at all is picked above other players in the south african system.

Has he been selected though? Who's this Neil Timmers fella? Never heard of him. Could it be that jsk are scrapping the bottom of the proverbial barrel?

Fairly modest squad at full strength. Matthew De Villiers, Pepper, Du Plooy, Trimmers, Forrester.. Squad of lightweights.

Did all the teams enjoy the same budget?

How much did jsk spend v the rest?

Timmers was one of the rookies jsk bought at the auction. Was part of the lions CSA T20 squad, played one game.
Thought he did ok but a bit slow.
 
I wouldn't have minded either JSK or DSG making the playoffs. Happy for JSK.

I would preferred it from the start. But I guess better late then never. Hopefully from the start next season.
 
Hopefully this is the last season we have these random playoff venues. Crowd looks terrible.
