SAA suspends all operations

Oh please. The budget will, as per usual practice, be siphoned off the medical equipment and infrastructure budgets, the budgets to upgrade the railways, the budgets to sort out our ports and the budgets to get our science and technology facilities back to where they should be.
If they close down SAA then you can all call me a naive fool- I really won't mind at all because I will be so happy.

You mean restore the stolen current railways surely:

I suspect at the last minute they will be granted R20billion out of thin air and the ANC will look like the Messiah of bailouts yet again.

Its already been promised, problem is and this is a new lesson for government, there really is no money.

What a stupid saga and by the time any real decision is reached or forced upon SAA a significant amount of money would have been spent on the BRP and what salaries they are paying anyway. Sort of like Zondo Comm; much about lots of rotten ANC thieving but very expensive and zero positive result.

What it does show is how weak and indecisive Cyril is. Jamnadas says he's getting R10bn odd, Tito says he isn't and each do their own thing.

Unfortunately that may be as bad or worse than the black hole SAA.

But it was flying daily while Dudu was at the helm

Bring back Dudu.
Bring back Dudu.
Bring back Dudu.

An African solution for an African problem.

Would like to know what the BRPs are paid. At what point has the money REALLY run out where they cannot pay themselves?

Gonna get interesting, the 10billion isn't even enough to save SAA and by the time they get it it will just pay off some debt.

So how will drugs be brought into the country now?

As opposed to?

As opposed to SA servicing or contributing to the servicing of the debt over a period of time?

Like I said, I don't fully understand as this is not a regular company that can just be liquidated and life carries on once the creditors receive their 0.20c per rand from the selling off of assets.

There are no railways to upgrade anymore. They've been radically transformed and decolonised. I don't see railway working again in this country.
