At the rate they spend and what they provide, I feel a little better about paying NoChoice every month!

I still boggle at how these parastatals work... The CFO is responsible for making sure the "company" is profitable.. surely that is his most important KPI, which he has failed to meet, but he still gets a bonus.

If I miss my most important KPI I would get warnings etc, but no bonus.
 
The greater the budget deficit the greater the bonus :confused:
 
Not to worry - we the taxpayers of SA will bail them out. Next year we will also face a big increase in television fees, for three channels some of us never watch! This is the way of the new SA.
 
Never mind, we had a TV we used internally for displaying system information and they wanted us to pay a license.

Seems that there is no checks and balances in the system, it is a "free for all".

Wasn't the whole point in paying a tv licence to support SABC?

If that is the case, I feel much better now knowing I don't pay mine. They should also make another add for themselves... "Dish out less bonuses... It's the right thing to do"

You know, each time I change careers I realise I'm in the wrong one. Clearly the place to be is the SABC

cause it's capable of receiving broadcasts.

sabc is in trouble like eskom but yet they pay out millions in bonuses and performance
 
That is what one gets when one appoints incompetent bunch to manage large sum of cash.

Once they (incompetent bunch (the board)) realize they screwed the pooch, they hire a corrupt consultant to take a fall.

Who in turn bleeds every cent he can to pay for the fall he is about to take.

Welcome to corrupt Africa, don't shake ur head in disbelieving, but think about what you need to do when you cast ur vote this coming elections.
 
Isn't it symptomatic how those governmental institutions come privatized tax payer wasters, come BEE/EE/AA flagships come up with some sob story how its all media misrepresentation and they are just being hard done by misrepresentation of facts.

Enough say no to incompetence and corruption, vote with your head, and get this scum out of office....
 
My friends mom is about to lose her job at the SABC.

My mom also works there and she says they slowly starting to retrench all the freelances etc.

But they leaving all the interns. WTF? Half of SABC is run by crappy interns. Gets rid of all them and they will start saving lots of cash
 
Eish! its so sad the way these idiots get away with total incompetence, but yes unfortunately that is 'the way' in the new SA... I don't understand why its SOOOO difficult for Gvt to get competent, skilled people, I guess its cos they prioritise politics above the ability to do the job! pity that....but its ok, it's all apartheid's fault (sic)!
