As I said before, they add Chromecast an Android TV app, get some content from BBC, even if it is a few years old, as a large portion of their viewing base will not have had the opportunity to watch it before. They can build up a good viewer base, which will help them generate funds, as long as they don't waste those funds on frivolous projects elsewhere.

No it is not free, you have to pay, to put something into the front end of the dog to get, it processed into a landmine on the pavement.

Not to be "that guy" but is not difficult to transcode streams with multiple bitrates anymore, especially up to 1080p. System load these days is more around the certification, registration, login etc system components. They still have to overcome that hurdle which is why I suspect its not available and I wonder if the steam is running full encryption or not as that is also a component of cost.

I am not expecting anything from them, just stating, that they have a good starting point, from which they can build on. Whether they will or not is yet to be seen.

I sincerely hope they migrate back to it.

Or at least redirect sabcplus.com to the correct domain.

Delivery platform needs some work, but agree, quality is good. As said elsewhere, they have a solid base to build from. Only time will tell if that happens, tho.

By the look of things, the basic platform is good, needs Chromecast, and an Android TV app, some tweaks, add some up market content, and they have the potential to be a pretty decent free service.
