SABC+ revamped with full HD support

Recently started using it for some local sport. Glad to see positive progress on something government owned. Now if they could just turn a profit.

As I said before, they add Chromecast an Android TV app, get some content from BBC, even if it is a few years old, as a large portion of their viewing base will not have had the opportunity to watch it before. They can build up a good viewer base, which will help them generate funds, as long as they don't waste those funds on frivolous projects elsewhere.

Not to be "that guy" but is not difficult to transcode streams with multiple bitrates anymore, especially up to 1080p. System load these days is more around the certification, registration, login etc system components. They still have to overcome that hurdle which is why I suspect its not available and I wonder if the steam is running full encryption or not as that is also a component of cost.

you're expecting a lot from a entity that's not functioning at all and uses monopoly monies, as they don't have real monies

I am not expecting anything from them, just stating, that they have a good starting point, from which they can build on. Whether they will or not is yet to be seen.

To be fair to SABC, the quality is actually quite good!

How about Knight Rider when KITT turbo boosts using the "hidden" ramp in the bush or the A-Team?

I know. :X3:

In Airwolf's defence, at least they actually used a real helicopter. My childhood self even appreciated that.

I remember as a child wanting to be an electronic engineer because of Airwolf. Then I was too white and too poor to go to university when I was older.
