Hi everyone, does anyone know if something is wrong with sadomain.co.za as i use them to host all my domains and all of my websites are offline. My actual websites are hosted at godaddy but they seem to be online. Thanks for any help.

They are down :( I have tried to move my domains away but .co.za says the domains are not managed by them :/

COZA: FAIL: Domain not administered by UniForum SA

As of now I don't know who to call or what to do, all their numbers are unreachable.

I am in Berlin, so I cannot even drive there and throw a brick through their office window lol, any takers?

will have to phone them on Monday.... I have 4 domain names registered with them and now all 4 are down. not a single warning, email, SMS or phone call from them. utterly disgusted! will probably have to move my domains over as soon as possible. any suggestions....

Hi all just an update to all of those who are pulling their hair out. I have just spoken to one of the guys at SA domain and they are experiencing DNS issues with no ETA on when it will be resolved. Good night to you all and holding thumbs that this will be resolved soon excuse the pun.

This is unacceptable, for a DNS company to be down more than a few hours, they have been down for longer than 24 hours. We have several domains registered with them as well as all our mail records, so even if I want to change my DNS provider it will be difficult. No information from Andy who is on standby, he keeps telling me that the administrators are working on the problem but he does not know what the problem is..., very strange as he is the after hours standby, not sure what support he can then provide.

That doesn't make sense, we have 4 DNS servers, 2 in 2 different locations in johannesburg and 2 in amsterdam.
DNS in itself is redundant, unless they running all zones on a single server with 2 IP's or something to that affect.

I would recommend looking for a better provider, DNS should never, ever go down.

Tis is why you use CloudFlare. You point name servers to their ones and can manage DNS easily yourself while gaining CDN and security benefit

Agreed, DNS should never go down. I never knew they had such a bad setup. Already looking around, just hope I can receive mails as my domains are not resolving.

Sounds like a bs story. How can they have dns issues with no eta on the fix. If it's really true heads should be rolling.

Still down, nobody answering phones, the last time the support guy just messed me around by giving me the number of the so called administrators/managers, but no answer. Maybe they need some technical help.

If any SA Domain staff Reads this please let us know... I have a lot of friends that work in the ISP Industry (CIE and Network Experts, MS Admins, Linux Admins... please just respond with what is wrong....)

Sorry to say but if your mx records are configured using sa domain's dns control panel then mails will also not work, atleast that is the case with me. I am so frustrated with this already!

Out of interest, why do people still use them? Have you looked at their website? Have you looked at their prices? Is there something special that they offer which I'm not aware of?

Hi uncapped_shady

Sorry to hear about the issues,

Please confirm that your domains have you listed as the registrant. If so you will be able to move them away to a decent provider without much difficulty.

SA Domains primary name server is not responding to DNS requests and their secondary, saix is not returning any valid data for requests.

Does seem a little odd...
