SAIX crawling....

I'm browsing OK using OpenDNS servers but my Windows Live Messenger is very unstable. Struggle to log on, get error code 8007012e and when I retry, it eventually logs on but then disconnects after a while anyway. Skype works fine though.

Is anyone else who's using Windows Live Messenger (MSN) experiencing this? Problem started 2 days ago.

Only my web browsing is affected -- chat/emails/etc are all fine.

Just wanted to say thanks to whoever posted the alternate DNS addresses.
I had to host a live music event in a vertual world tonight and not only did the DNS change solve the problem, it actualy was the most stable connection I have had in weeks. If you are not sure what I'm on about her is a youtube video recorded last weeK, just a 5 min clip of a 1 hour show.

My connection is fine for the moment, international, local, everything's sort of normal ;)

Myadsl is fine but not iol :(
I take it that iol.co.za is local and it is not just my cap?

Bacl to super slow again here at work. It's been useable whole day, but not at it's fastest. Had some severe crawling earlier. Reboot didn't help either.

SAIX, shaped, affecting local and international. Started dragging at about 2pm

I noticed that I can got full speed in the mornings, but this quickly goes down towards f*all later in the day. Evenings it is useless after 7pm. Telkom seems to not be able to solve the problem.

i noticed it works in bursts

if works for like 5 minutes then donkey slow for ten minutes, repeat repeat etc etc

im at a stage where i disconnect and connect just to get it working for 5 minutes.

gmail and facebook seem fine, most other int sites dont work, myadsl works half the time, supersport is dead

sigh..... and the list goes on

even my browsing from my phone using gprs is a pain, most of the sites only open after a number of tries

One thing that I noticed, is that certain websites give the DNS error with Firefox, while IE gives me no DNS errors whatsoever. Those of you with both browsers, check a bit and see if you perhaps get similar results.

Talk about being a pain, even with changing the DNS it still doesn't work correctly
