Hi All,

There seems to be a SAIX Peering issue nationally. Have logged a fault. No response yet.

Anyone else having an issue?

Mweb and Gridhost sent out notices that Telkom/SAIX are goofed

Same. Using Openweb account now. National pings are 350+. International (London) is 210. Telkom account just times out whenever I try to access a website.

Yeah,
Apparently SIAX had to restart a core router in Belville or something,

IS notification,

Dear IS Client

We are experiencing the following service event:

AFFECTED SERVICES: SAIX
LOCATION: Nationally
GRADE OF SERVICE IMPACT: Major
SERVICE IMPACT: Packet loss and increased latency
CAUSE OF EVENT: Cause unknown
TIME: Fri Nov 09 2012 15:12
OUR REF: 1-1856143975

Yip also, in Centurion, cannot get into certain sites like FB, but on VC3g, no problem

Its disappointing that they are yet to post this on the SAIX noticeboard. This is a tool that's supposed to assist ISP's.

Still no response to the ticket I logged.

saix news server has been down for a while now..for 8ta customers anyways..

FK RSA internet

and here i thought my cap was done at first sigh

Something seems to be happening... Int. connection coming back slowly but surely.

Working now :)

For the record, Youtube downloads were full speed during the outage :p
