I've got a 1.5 TB Western Digital Caviar Green drive. Hardly used, was used for backups occasionally.

It's five years old but as mentioned, it really was hardly used.

It's SATA 2 (3 Gbps). [edit: SATA 3 makes no difference with a hard drive btw]
