Do any of you, who own Samsung 226BW screens have an issue with a slight bit of blue-ish light leakage that comes up from the bottom and top?

Wondering if I should take it back, it's very slight.

PS: Not sure if I've got an A/S or C panel, the Service Menu does not list the panel nor is it labeled on the back.

I don't see any light leakage at all with mine. If you're unhappy with it, take it back. I would.

Mine's perfect. Don't delay man take it back within the warranty period ;)

Nope, no "Light leakage" here either. Most probably got damaged in some way, otherwise it must just be a factory fault. ;)

If I change my background to plain black in a dark room then it's possible to see a slight discoloration at the edges of the screen, but only if you know that it's there.

I think this is also known as "Backlight Bleed" :)

I have a blue line running across the screen from top to bottom.Anybody know what this is because I think its a case of dead pixels. My monitor is now 10 months old and this just happenned and is really annoying especially on a black background, its bright blue.

Does the line appear from bootup or only when in the operating system? Try plugging into another PC or laptop and see if it does the same - if not, then it's probably your graphics card on it's way out.

mine either but it does some bleeding on certain pages but thats normal and its less than other 22" monitor

Did you take it back? What did they say?

I've just noticed the same on my NEW monitor using DVI... I'll try VGA next.

Hmmm...just noticed mines the 2232GW...

Quick question... can you see yours in a light room, or only when the room is dark?

I can only pick up the slight discoloration when it's absolutely pitch black (LAN anyone? :D) with a black background :)

I'll take a photo of mine....we can compare, I don't think mine is that bad.

Incredible Connection replaced mine and even plugged in a replacement to demo it to me so that I was satisfied with the replacement.

I took it back within their 7 day return period, I would imagine I'd be less happy had I returned it later.

That's bad IMHO.

I doubt retailers will not swop it out for a replacement as backlight bleeding is deemed "normal".
