Hi there i am looking for someone who has a little time on there hands to enable CONFIG_USB_CONFIGFS_F_HID and CONFIG_USB_F_HID to this custom kernal,I would like to flash this to my device.
I already flashed it and its working great but the HID is not enabled. I cant compile it myself as i was told on another forum to not mess where sleeping dogs are.
Here is the file that needs this enabled so i can flash it to device in zip form via twrp
Here is the link to the kernel. https://filebin.net/2eli4c2g16voszge
I appreciate if you could help me,i am willing to pay if it works .

What ROM are you running on your device?
Do you have TWRP installed as a recovery?

Have you actually tried to compile a kernel, by setting up a Linux VM, or smth? Oom Google is going to point you to guides that tell you how to compile an Android kernel, either with the NDK or native cross-compilation.

If you mess up, make sure you have Odin and your device's stock ROM on-hand, that you can recover the device if you bricked it.

interested to see where this goes, haven't tried my hand at Android ROM cooking or Kernel modification on my Android ROM Journey.

so far, just loaded stable versions of ROMS (Pixel experience,CRDROID), loaded GAPPS (mindtheGapps), and went on telegram groups to find out why certain things dont work.
maybe try one for Kernel modifications? know that it can be tricky on Samsung, Pixels are apparently easier to mod.

i do not install custom roms, reason being the roms for this a30s device cannot have adb and mtp open at the same time.i really do not to want to go all the way to settings and disable usb debug just to open mtp

i bricked it 5 or 6 times already,i just cant do this on my own,i tried the nethunter route via kali linux but i get error,so i just gave up after many hours of faffing around.Someone that knows these kernal stuff ca nsort this problem out in a jiffy..........so to speak

that might be the problem, know that with certain phones kernel modification can cause weird things to start happening, battery life issues, screen glitches, heating, and other things like wifi acting strangely, BT not connecting ect ect...

that's why people who enjoy Rooting stick to phones with a big community and plenty of mods, I think it has something to do with enough Developers making things for X phone and its SOC being well understood.

that's why I research intensely a potential phone before I buy it, know what the community is like BEFORE just buying a random phone, and why its sometimes very hard to pick a phone to play around with especially if you dont know much about Modifying it.

Question, as I see some off the shelf Kernels on XDA, have you tried them?

you live and learn, I managed to overheat my LG G3 a few times to the point it wouldnt charge,

not to mention my oneplus X, didnt turn on after some mild mods, nothing kernel related.

thank god for takealot and their no questions return policy!
done it a few times now,

All those kernals do not have HID active..reason people dont care about such things, they only want better battery better cpu governors, more juice from gpu etc. etc and this is why they supply kernals for this purpose. All i want is this

might not be possible, reason is I think to do with the SOC not being fully mapped out, so like I mentioned
developers didnt make this sort of change possible, or its not fully set up.

for instance, my S9, its IRIS scanner isnt working, its okay for me as I use the fingerprint scanner works fine.
same thing with the VOLTE, people often complain about it not working once you start trying ROMS/ kernel mods

you might have the same thing here, either you live with it, and take the tradeoffs, but other good things that exist
so for instance, your A30 might not get updates anymore, with ROMS you can keep it going.

that is what I have with my S4 mini, its ancient, that whats app doesn't work on it, but with a rom on Android 11, it does work.

What in the blue blazes happened here? Sounds like a battle of grammer, bad spelling and a malfunctioning keyboard?

OK, let me see, you have a Eureka kernel installed. I will check tomorrow night if I can get the kernel sources, enable that features, and try chucking that code to the cross-compiler, but I can't promise anything.

Cross-compiling a kernel has been simplified over the past few years, and I can probably do it with my eyes closed at this stage, one just need the right set of tools. Please don't ask me to compile a kernel for a RISC-V or some custom Rockchip CPU that has an outdated compiler and linker.

Now that you talking about s4,i did exactly that a monts ago to the neighbors phone,His whatapp stopped working I googled and found out that support ended ,I just put another rom and there you go all good again.
