Samsung F700

It hotting up now ... it looks like we will be seeing devices with monstrous resources this year ..
 
Not bad, but its using a Samsung UIQ AKAIK, they used windows before, didnt do well, i hope its an improved Samsung user interface.

Otherwise its not going to do well.

Funny you mention the Samsung windows hash up .. cos Samsung processors are used in the HTC and ETEN devices ... and these devices work quite well.
hows that for weird
 
the user interface was designed for samsung by adobe, which apparently is supposed to be impressive :p

That does not leave much choice in 3rd party apps for the phone...!

Well...I have read really mixed reviews with some saying it is ther best phone ever and some saying it is the worst!

What is all this about it taking five keys to answer a call? And does your phone freeze a lot?

Also, I hear that unlike the HTC S710, when you slide out the keyboard the screen changes to landscape mode immediately and there is no lag at all. This is very NB for me...

Basically what are the downsides to this phone?

I hear it is nearly as big and bulky as a TYTNII? :(

Its a little wider than the 4350 but slimmer.

The 5 keys to answer sounds exaggerated.
Ill check the landscape mode switch timing and will let you know.
 
I love the fact that it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. I wanted to get one not to long ago.

Its fast, almost instant.

Think i will be getting mine on tuesday or wednesday :D

Look nice in store and i played with it for 5 mins or so and i was impressed.

I jsut don't hope it starts freezing and all that stuff 1 week after i purchased it :p

hmmm, me is jealous :p

I think you should find it quite a nice phone. Don't forget to report back here with how it is.

It is still pretty pricey - free on business topup and upwards only on VC :(
