Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Ok, there is no easy way to go back from 4.3 to 4.1.2, as 4.3 installs a new bootloader. :(

If you download the 4.1.2 ROM from samfirmware.com and flash it via Odin, you will get an error.

I've read on XDA that there is a patch out to fix the bootloader and allow you to downgrade, but have not tested it yet.

Also looked around for a replacement SMS app, but really nothing that I like. I'll keep on searching.

Samsung & Knox sucks.

Try restarting your router. For whatever reason I think it helped a little with my constant disconnects.

Just using my phone data now, so its not a train smash.

When I was on the router's wifi, I got two messages about it being unstable, then it stopped.

But the wifi signal was all over the place, which is not good for battery life.

This unstable wifi issue on the 4.3 update is totally screwing up my DSTV Drifta & is starting to annoy the crap out of me. :(

As soon as I switch on the wifi, I'm getting the "your wifi is unstable" message, and then the Drifta app crashes.

You can turn it off. Go to settings, wifi. Press menu key, select advance. Untick all. I only have "notify if open network found" ticked and have no issues at all.

But I want it to switch to 3G when I'm outside a wifi zone. Does it still do that automatically?

Seems like the 4.3 update is being pulled back... I had the option to update last week but I am now being told that I have the latest version (4.1.2)

There is a way to get back (just look on XDA), but its not guaranteed.

Im sure the revised 4.3 ROM will be with us soon.
I did look at it after your first posts on this issue, but it looked like a real pain in the bum, *with* a good chance of creating an expensive brick.

I do hope Samsung does something positive quite soon.

Yes, there is no guarantee that it will work, and I am not building anything now, so no use for a brick.

Hopefully Samsung will fix the wifi issue soon.

I'm getting a ridiculous number of accidental screenshots since the upgrade, anyone else getting this too?

Same hear I tried to update, server message indicates my device is already up to date on 4.1.2

Just a reminder to all those comfortable with the idea (and not particularly set on Samsung features), OmniRom is an Android 4.4 based custom ROM that's simple and fast with daily OTA updates. I've been running it since end of November on my Note 2 and I'm still smiling.

Now why did I only discover the Samsung Sans Serif font now?

Its beautiful!

Might do that. 4.3 is crap and I hate the bloatware. Don't actually use any of the Samsung apps. Got 4.4 on my Nexus 7 and love the clean interface.

Can you point us in the right direction ...

I have disabled all the Samsung Apps, push service, etc. so content with it.

The 4.3 update has been pulled, so hopefully we get the revised one very soon.
