I had the same problem. I just couldn't figure out how to get rid of them. I ended up flashing carbon instead.

I was VERY close to going to another rom...In fact, I flashed Pacman ROM which also includes Halo, but I think it still has some issues. The Halo notification only worked for a while. So, flashed back to PA 3.6 and now everything is cool!

I do find the stock launcher for PA useless. So slapped Apex on there and now its perfect! :)

Do you Paranood users find that Paranoid stable versions are updated frequently?

I used PA for half a day. Then my Halo notifications stopped working. So I went back to Liquid Smooth which is still my go-to ROM.

No idea why it stopped, but not even a reboot fixed it. Anybody else have this issue?

I have been using PA with Halo for about two weeks now. Halo notifications always works for me. Did you by any chance deactivated Halo by dragging the Halo to the X and forgot to activate it again?

Or else you may have changed some Halo settings by mistake.

No, what happened was, I would get a whatsapp message and when I tap on the halo, the background would dim slightly, but the pop-up window never opens. Then the background stays like that and I have to press back to get back to the launcher.

So the halo notification still worked, but the pop-up window never opened. Weird. Also, I didn't change any settings for Halo either so no idea why it stopped.

I went back to Omega rom after using PA for a week or so.
The stock camera is just miles better and i am actually able to side load apps again now. Whereas with PA i was unable to click on the "Install" button.

You were probably running an older version of PA with Halo, you had to drag Halo to the "X" and then the "Install" button will work.

I'm still running the 18 June build of PA, everything is running smoothly without issues.

I'm patiently waiting for the Samsung 4.2.2/4.3 release which hopefully is not too far from being released. Until then I'm sticking with PA, it's just so much faster and smoother than stock.

trying to revert my phone from omega back to stock... which version must I download from samfirmware?

I am on MTN

Galaxy Note 2 to skip Android 4.2, go straight to 'newer version,' says Aussie carrier - http://m.androidcentral.com/galaxy-...go-straight-newer-version-says-aussie-carrier

I've read about this earlier this week, but this time I believe it a bit more. I'm not holding my breath for the update to hit our shores officially any time soon. I'll wait for the community to release a rooted version soon after release ;)

Is the jump to 4.3 set in stone now? What kind of chatter are you guys picking up? And if the nexus guys are getting 4.3 now how long before us samsung users might see 4.3? Will samsung only start dev on their rom now that google launched 4.3 or would they have had it already?

While we're waiting for news on 4.3...

My wife recently became the proud owner of an S4 and though I'm happy she's a part of the Samsung family now I'd still pick a Note 2 if I had to choose again. We of course had to test the NFC/S Beam functionality. Does anyone honestly find the whole touching the backs of cellphones together to transfer a contact useful? I found it much faster to simply switch on Bluetooth.

Honestly I find transferring via Wi-Fi direct much faster

Same here, could never get Android Beam to work...
