Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I flashed the very latest PA, but Titanium Backup doesn't want to restore my apps! I changed the backup folder to the correct backup folder, I even tried restoring an app one at a time, yet no luck...it just stays at "restoring - 0%"

So none of your apps wants to restore?

Sometimes I encounter the same problem, the culprit is usually a incompatible app.

Yes, none of the apps. Even after reboots etc.

My nandroid backup not to be found in CWM!

Will try an earlier PA version...

I have also had the Titanium Backup issue before. I could not run a batch restore, but when I placed only some of the backups in the TB folder, and restored them one by one, it worked.

If I am not mistaken, the folder structure for 4.1.2/4.2.2/4.3 are all different? Maybe that is why you cant find the nandriod backup? Maybe try moving the backup to the clockworkmod folder via root explorer?

On Paranoid Android, do you all rely on the 'tiles' settings menu in the notification drawer, or is there a quicker way to change your settings (like wifi, orientation, etc)?

I liked the horizontal line of settings I used to have above my notifications in the notification bar.

Not a biggie, just asking :-) really liking the ROM so far. It has resolved my battery issue as well.

You could use PIE controls? I personally use the Power Toggles Widget on my home screen. Still the quickest and easiest way for me:)

I am quite looking forward to the first Carbon 4.3 RC ROM as well. Might move over to that when it gets released.

Otherwise, IF the rumoured Stock TW 4.3 Rom rolls around in Oct, I might even try that:D

I see quite a few 4.3 Roms are now available...Anyone tried anything else than PA thus far?

Does anyone else get the urge to flash a new Rom every 2nd week??

I just can't seem to leave this damn phone alone :o:D

I've tried CarbonRom and it was a great Rom. After some time, later releases of CarbonRom just totally messed my phone up. I would do a clean install and after a day of two my phone would become slow and non responsive. That was on 4.2, don't know how good 4.3 is though.

I switched over to PA and haven't had any such issues since.

I usually only flash new versions when there's a big update, so I may go one or two months between flashes.

At the moment I'm holding out for the Samsung 4.3 release, very excited about trying it.

I had Carbon on 4.2.2 for a long time. I really liked it as well. Fast and smooth.

I am happy with PA. Just feel like a change...

Just updated to Paranoid Android 3.99 RC-1 and it is absolutely awesome. This phone is now ultra smooth and responsive and 4.3 is pretty cool. The Focal camera app is brilliant.

I had a minor issue with the first flash and Titanium Backup - tried to restore from TB but didn't change the backup folder to the legacy folder. The moment I tried this it failed, and my phone gave me an error on boot telling me that the system UIDs were inconsistent and I required a repartitioning of the sd card. Couldn't solve the issue so just reflashed and changed the TB folder to legacy and all was good. Also stopped Play Store from working properly but the reflash solved it all.

Now to see what the battery life is like. Halo is awesome btw. Pie controls are just annoying if you use gestures...

Battery stats are great on PA RC-1. 3 hours of fair use, 5% usage so far.

Very happy with this ROM...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news by this was quoted in the article (In the link below).... "According to the folks at Sammobile, Android 4.3 update for Note 2 will be released between November and December. The reason for this is that apparently the company wants its latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 3, to have exclusivity over Android 4.3 for a couple of months before the update is rolled out to its siblings"...
