Never had a problem so can't tell, but it is running smoothly. Had a licencing issue with an app which may be related to the update but otherwise no real difference

I just got a notification that a firmware update to OS 4.3 is required.
Not on wifi at the moment so I'll download it when I get home.
This is on Vodacom

Stability update. Boring

Lately I've had to restart my phone once or twice a week so I'm hoping this "stability" update helps.

Symptom is not receiving smses. I notice it when I can't send an sms. Restart and a bunch of smses would come through. Most annoying.

Considering going to Cyanogenmod ...

I have had that issue with BBM only.

So the Cyanogenmod installer bricked my phone. Had to go through the manual recovery mode install. Luckily I already had the Android debugger on my laptop. What a mission. Not recommended for non technical people.

But what a pleasure to get rid of all that Samsung crap!

I am on Telkom Mobile & running 4.3 with latest firmware update and kernel.

Did a reset after firmware update and wiped everything.

Phone is super smooth and a fantastic experience, wifi is working well so far.

MTN has finally released Android 4.3 to their subscribers. I upgraded my Note 2 last night. 750MB download. Upgrade seems nice and stable thus far.

But best to have a techie on hand in case you need to do a manual install.
