Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Same but it has become a bit laggy of late. What would you guys recommend flashing with...? (I tried once then failed so haven't tried again)
CM can do it for you with the CM installer, makes it really easy

I've always used TWRP (https://twrp.me/) for flashing. Seems to be the go-to tool on the XDA forums. I remember it being fairly simple to get onto your phone. CM installer may have better step by step instructions though. I haven't tried but remember thinking that CM's documentation looked pretty decent.

Thanks Gents. Then finally what version would be best to go with currently..11..?

Still using mine 2:D
I recently put one of those glass screen covers and a thick drop-proof cover on it. My phone was naked for a long while but I thought if I drop it now and break it I might have an issue getting replacement parts. I have no intentions of replacing my 2012 phone any time soon.
Haven't even rooted it!

Having used (still am using) 11 extensively :
The camera has issues at random, even with the "cam fix app". Have to reboot phone to get it going again once it bugs out. None of the nightly updates fixes it 100%.

Bluetooth range is less than normal.

Everything else works well, especially privacy guard.
Installing 11 is extremely easy though. The installer makes it a breeze.

Planning to load 13 as soon as the WiFi issue has been fixed. Feel like something new :)

I've been on 12 for the better part of a year now and it's really stable. 13 is getting closer and closer to being stable, I'm planning to make the switch before the end of January. The developer working on 13 is very active so I reckon it'll be close to sorted by then.

As a matter if interest, what S Pen functionality do you loose or gain using CM?

You can still use it as a touch device but to be honest I'm probably not the best person to ask. I never use the S Pen. If there's something you'd like to me to test though I'd be more than happy to.

The features I use most is the selecting a section of screen for a screenshot and writing notes in Papyrus

The screenshot with S Pen functionality was part of Samsung's TouchWiz functionality that they baked into Android as I recall. Since CM is an altogether different Android ROM that functionality is no longer available.

The Papyrus app has been renamed and is now known as Squid. I just downloaded the app and tested the S Pen in there and it works as expected as far as I can tell.

There are were some roms that used to incorporate TouchWiz functionality but I have no idea how well they're maintained.

Hi All, I managed to brick my Note 2 (don't ask). Does anyone know where I can take it to get restored?

Woke up the other day with the phone stuck on the Note 2 splash screen. I have tried re-loading the stock OS from Sammobile and factory re-sets but not working. I believe flashing a PIT file may help. Does anyone have a link to a relevant one or any other suggestions?
