Samsung Galaxy Note 2

It is pretty much made up if I can get a good price and grey and 32 GB. Very happy with my S3 so not in a rush, but I would love to get it tomorrow :D

haha....you're a lost case.

Go catch some fresh air outside and think about some other stuff for a change. :)

What is your usage like dude? Do you have all comms turned on. Etc...
I am keen on the N2 and want to see if it compares with my S3 battery wise.

Everything turned on. Widgets running. Not live wallpaper. Uses it like I did my Note 1 (no less, no more). Connects it to my music player at home in evenings. It just goes and goes. The first smart phone that I have owned with a battery life that I don't have to worry about and try to conserve to get through a day.

With a powerful device like this that will more than likely cost no more than the iPhone 5 I cannot think why/how anyone will rather go for the iPhone (unless the person has already heavily invested in apps and other accessories). The Note 2 is The Boss (Sammy should bring out a Springsteen anniversary model ... "Made in the Chi-a-na ..." ).

Got my first automated firmware upgrade pushed from Samsung to the Note 2 just now! Things are just getting better!

Quick question guys,

Does the Note 2 come with maps installed and voice-guided GPS?

I cannot wait for this phone to come to CellC next month (hopefully ^_^)... My upgrade from a LG Optimus One to the Note 2 is gonna feel EPIC!

I've cancelled my contract with VC last week, ported to Cell C and now they decide to wait two months before they get the phone...my only other option is FNB but they haven't even shown any possibility of getting the phone anytime soon:cry:

The only thing keeping me sane and not running back to VC is the price I'll be paying in the longrun data-wise...not easy!

I ordered my Titanium Grey one last week and should be getting it on Monday from Vodacom.I wanted the least amount of money on Suscription so I went for a Business Call (R185) with a pay in price of R4100.So Im basically paying off R4440 over 24 months (R185p/m).The Business Call simcard is going to live in my cupboard and am going to use my S2 sim contract for its remaining year.(315 Top Up).So Im kinda buying the phone for R8540 and just paying off half of it.I'm not a very patient person when it comes to this kind of thing so waiting for better deals from different providers or a price drop is a no-go. It must be nooooooooow :)

I used the Business Call route for my S2 and Desire HD.
I prefer cash now.

I would have thought the Smart Standard for R229 is a much better deal, as you get 150MB data a month, 75 Anytime minutes and 150 sms bundle with it.

The business call does not make sense to me anymore.

I've sold my Galaxy S2 and still have a year on the contract so I will only have the Note2 therefore no need for all those extras you get on a Smart Standard R229.I did consider that package first but decided Im never gonna use that sim and I dont like constantly switching sims so just go for the Business Call.A straight R185 and be done with it.

True that. Business Call = Vodacom's Edgars account. :)

According to Vodacom the LTE version will only be available in November.

How will it be identified, with a different model number? Anyone know?

Edit: ahh, I see it will be the N7105.

Thanks for this. My plans for the Note 2 are now on hold until this model arrives.

This possibly why Cell C delayed by 2 months with a release?

A great idea if you live in Gauteng.....but if you're from the Western Cape, don't wait.

Just get the 3G one.
