Apparently 800, 000 people are porting to Cell C a month.
Source? That number seems exaggerated.

If I read the article correctly it says that they get 700 000 new subscribers each month, not 700 000 ports each month.
“Our understanding is that a large proportion of the 700 000 new subscribers represents churn. Natural churn in the prepaid market is already very high – more than 40% a year – and that would be a lot higher where a network is introducing a dramatically reduced pricing structure.
“Although users can convert the package they are on, the typical prepaid user would simply dump the old number and take up a new prepaid account, purely for the perceived immediacy thereof.”
He says the net effect of these additions is possibly between 100 000 and 200 000 a month.
Its discontinued with Vodacom because they are ONLY getting the LTE version from now on. IT does not mean Samsung is not making them and it certainly does not mean the other SP's will not be selling it.
Well not to worry Orange is coming to take over the market with free phones and unlimited phone calls and data usage.
It was Orange that forced Vodafone UK into giving unlimited phone calls and data usage for just R 450.00 a month with a free Galaxy Note 2 LTE!

I cant believe that. Why would a production line make 3G and LTE when it is clear that the LTE version has faster 3G??
Yes, it's true. The N7105 supports 42Mbps Dual Carrier HSPA+ (As well as LTE), whereas the N7100 only supports HSPA+ up to 21Mbps.

The delay in the N7105 version is because Samsung want to clear the N7100 world wide stock first. Some other Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE phone version are for Korea or US market and have different model numbers like SHV-E250S and have always been LTE/4G.

Careful not to count your chickens before they've hatched. I really hope Orange do bring about change if they're planning to do more than launch a e-commerce site. South Africa is still highly regulated in the telecoms space, rife with monopolistic companies and poor infrastructure outside (and in some cases inside) the metropolitan areas. It's very different to the UK. A company needs brass balls and a lot of stubbornness to bring about change in SA. Not saying it can't be done but it won't be easy.
Ok back to this.... Best screen protectors...? Think someone recommended these guys last time

I simply do not believe the glass on the note 2 is as durable as it was on the S2. Either way I need more piece of mind when putting my phone down without stressing about possible mishaps with keys etc...
Had mine for a while now dude. Put it in my pocket with keys, lays in the drawer with bunch of other stuff, etc... No protector and the screen looks new still.
I wouldn't stress too much. Just take general care of the device and all should be fine.
What JellyBean version are you? Mine is 4.1.1....I really don't want to root this phone....when are we/I getting 4.1.2 or 4.2?

Because LTE is costing Samsung more to make therefore reducing their profit margins. They will still be punting the N7100 way more than the LTE version.
Just go look at every other phone that has had an LTE and a standard 3G model, the LTE version sold next to nothing compared to it.
I still cannot believe what you say that the N7105 LTE costs more to make. The only difference is the aerial. The N7105 LTE Note 2 has 4.1.2 while the N7100 3G Note 2 only has the older 4.1.1. If they where still manufacturing the N7100 why have they not upgraded it to 4.1.2? With mass production of items that cost them a few cents to make it would not be viable to manufacture both. N7100 is dead stock! loads of people who do not know this so they will clear the stock.
Now you are talking ***! The very popular LTE phones in South Africa are iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820, Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE and all out sell the 3G phones!
You can still use the LTE phones in 3G only until the LTE networks are working properly.
I have the N7100 and running 4.1.2. Where did you see the N7100 only has 4.1.1?
