Sorry. Whoever told you this lied to you. Ok, not entirely
. You are able to BOLT on data bundles. You would go into the store and either ask for a once off or a month to month bundle. They are the exact same pricing as the prepaid bundles 
. You can do this on ANY contract you want. You can also bolt on SMS's as well as Voice minutes. All this means is, you don't pay in store. It gets added onto your month contract price at the end and you pay it as a bill sort of thing. Just note it is NOT pro rata amounts. If you buy 1 gig for R149 on the 21st you will get the full 1gig data. Amounts you can buy:
250MBS - R59
500MBs - R99
1gig - R149
2gigs -R249
Cant remember the rest of the pricing but yeah. Alternative is to take out a 1gig contract + wifi router (R206 or R208) then its like R99 or R129 for for 1 or 2gigs with a wifi modem which goes in your pocket. I run around with one of these connecting my tablet and my Note 3

think its called a mifi router. is rechargable and is little smaller than a standard mouse. quite handy little things.

That's a pretty neat idea. Didn't realise you could get that from Cellucity.
Meanwhile I am still regretting not bundling a Gear with my Note when I got it.
Now the (seemingly) long wait for the Note 4 and Gear 2 to become available here...

Thats the pre order list. The Z2, Gear 2 and S5 are all listed now for pre order. Vodacom also have one going, but yeah i hate dealing with vodacom tbh. They never get back to you, their staff are inadequately trained. Only problem with cellucity is their reserving policy. So what i recommend, when you pre order state "New line" or "cash". This pretty much guarantee that they will keep one aside for you. When you go in and collect say, oh wait you realized you have an upgrade so you'd like to upgrade. Nothing they can do once you have the phone in your hand and are seated.
Im going to get the Gear 2 Neo in cash. I dont really need the extra camera tbh and it should be quite a bit cheaper. It has the exact same specs baring the metal finish and the camera.

Its smaller than a mouse as stated, has about a 6hour battery on it. Sits in your pocket, put a sim card in. And boom instant internet. Its cheaper to buy one of these on a brand new contract than have to bolt on 1gig extra data everymonth at R149pm. However its also pointless if you get a lot of airtime and never use the airtime, might as well convert.
P.S. I DO NOT WORK FOR THEM ANYMORE. So this is not a sales pitch .
Also back to the point in this thread, has anyone loaded 4.4.2 onto their Note 3 yet? I was thinking of loading the UK Vodafone 4.4.2 but wanted to know what does it add? Any improvements to RAM usage or camera buff? I've read the issue with the chip in the S view cover, but not too worry as i own the original S View cover. I just wanted to know if it were worth going for non vodacom branded OS just to get the latest update now.

1) I'm also thinking about the Gear 2 neo, the extra camera does nothing for me.
2) Do you know a certain Mr. Henschel of cellucity? think he is or was the GM.
3) Some of us here has loaded the Polish version. Its not branded like Vodacom or probably Vodafone will be. Works like a dream. There is a updated version out already to sort the chip issue you mention.
