Well, with any luck, my Note 3 should be delivered today!
 
Who's got the best contract for the Note 3 I wonder if MTN is better than Vodacom. I hear there are great specials at vodaworld between 28sept to 6 oct, maybe the free cover, has anyone been there in this time period?

Bleugh, I've decided to root and to hell with the KNOX warranty thingy, I'll cross that bridge if I get to it.

That's what I want to find out, they have been advertising on radio about the new shopping experiance at Vodaworld with specials between this time period.

I have the S4 as a business phone and (understandably) it is data intensive...but I really need this Note 3 as my private device, but am not willing to pay these exorbitant contract prices with such ridiculous on-contract data limits.

Cheapest contract prices:
Cell-C: R429pm with ONLY 100MB data! (3G) So ridiculous, it must be a misprint!
MTN: R469pm with 200MB+150MB promo data. (LTE) Cough, gag, heeeelp...(slumps to ground...)
Vodacom: R449pm with 75MB+125MB promo data. (LTE). Another joke! On LTE this will be used in a week!
FNB: R365pm unlocked DEVICE ONLY for qualifying clients.
Telkom Mobile: ????????????????????????? Why'm I not surprised they haven't released their contract details yet...this company is not in business to attract and keep customers.

I feel the same, I think the TelkomMobile guys are releasing their offers around the 20th of this month so I will also wait to see what Data they offer

No stock. I cancelled and once it shows on the system I'm getting one at a Vodacom store. I was there earlier and they are keeping one out for me until tomorrow morning.

This phone is huge! I'm getting a little worried that I should rather go for the S4, but that won't be a decent upgrade over my current S3.

Vodacom direct told me they received a whole batch of new Note 3's this morning. Mine should be delivered on Monday hopefully.

I was told to expect it earliest Tuesday, but they can't confirm that they've received units.

With Vocadom you either get very bright service agents or very incompetent ones. I was lucky to find one of the bright ones on my fifth attempt.
 
I got my Note 3 this morning. I am trying to download my apps from the play store but can not download anything. Keeps on getting and error message of can not be downloaded due to error (927). What up with that?
 
Just got my new Note 3 and I'm having a very irritating problem. I keep getting a "indexservice" has stopped error. Seems like a common issue since many people are complaining about it.

Anyone else experiencing this and found a way to fix it?

Edit: Ah, it seemed to have sorted itself out...

I got a call from mtn outside canal walk they said they have stock. I'll go there after work:(

Thanks for the update!!

I see they close at 6:00pm, I'm not sure if I will make it. But I will be there tomorrow morning definitely. Strand Street let me down. Still no stock.
 
I see what the new telkom contracts are about. They look very attractive hope they will put the Note 3 on them soon.
 
I have a weird problem (of sorts) with my Note 3.
I have loaded 2 games, and a Navigon GPS.

Whenever I exit either the games or the GPS the screen seems to shudder/shake before the app closes.

Just after I first started using the device, some of the letters on the home screen were also black, where the rest are white.
Once I restarted the device though, all the letters were as they were supposed to be.

Google does not have any solutions as yet.
Anyone else experience something similar?
