hi all ,
for all Note 3 owners ,
who dont know about the Samsung keyboard handwriting problem (handwriting to text, stopped working etc )
Samsung has pushed out an update on Playstore link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.visionobjects.resourcemanager&hl=en
you can update and reboot phone should work
it affects all Note 3 variants

(this is wat i understand what happened ,as to why it stopped..).
is that Samsung used some 3 rd party dev ( app ) re keyboard ?
and its licence apparently expired on 30 September 2013 .?
so the keyboard handwriting to text ,stopped working
(The fix was to you had to reset date back to 27..28..29 sept ..to get it to work.( this happened to me ,so i know about it )
well Samsung pushed update out very fast through Playstore..one up for Samsung..!!
(Apparently this update extends licence date " issue" ???

Two keyboard features that I miss from my custom ROM'd Note1 are
1) Some punctuation marks (ones that always go after a word) acted like "space" in that they auto-completed the current word, and
2) This feature I miss the most: if auto-correct fired and the resulting word was not the word you intended to type, all you had to do was press backspace and the word would revert. I loved that feature.

yes, i also installed yesterday,
Its quite smooth and good but does not come near Samsungs handwriting app( i been using SAMSUNGS handwriting app on my
Note 2 ,Note 8.0 and now Note 3 .,so i know it well and how to use it .)
Yes to me its very, very similar to Samsungs keyboard handwriting app ,also its only in " beta " stage
i think you can't switch or it does not have a keyboard option, only handwriting to text??(not sure )
But,as an option, its got potential !

You need to see me applying one and you know prob not that easy for me to cut one myself

I see GSMArena posted an article that the real price to manufacture a Note 3 is $240.
 
Did anyone have any luck getting a Note 3 from MTN as yet? When I call any of the stores which actually answer their phone, they just say that the Note 3 is "coming Soon"

Kinda frustrating since the other providers already have it in stock. The wait is killing me...really want to get my hands on this device :)

Latest is that they are receiving stock on Friday. Talking about the Nicholway store.

Probably the majority of people who buy Samsung phones.

That, however, is besides the point. It is shocking that they Samsung released such bad software, especially on their latest flagship.
 
oh man I love this phone-like thing. :) if only I knew it already came with sketchbook mobile, then I wouldn't have bought it. :S however, it's only R20, so not a train smash.

killed my battery drawing a less amazing "starry night", but it sure as heck was fun doing it. now I'll try my best to give it average use so I can see how long the battery lasts.

I'm happy with this s2 replacement. :)
