I would like to get a 64GB microSD card for my phone, anyone know where they can be bought relative cheap online? (R650 is the most I'm willing to pay)

I see that Loot.co.za sells them for R830, I'm sure they must be cheaper than that somewhere...

I'm done with Sandisk micro SD cards.

Had one in my Galaxy S2, took it out and put it in my Note 2 & next thing the SD card starts giving errors.

My next buy is a Kingston 64GB micro SD card for R747 from Landmark Computers : http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/kingston-sdcx10-micro-sdxc-64gb-class10-p-9344.html

Absolutely love Kingston RAM.

That cover looks like the one I have.
Took it off and not using it.
For some reason my battery gets used faster with the SView cover on than without it.

Spigen is becoming world class! Look at this nice cover for the new Nexus 5.

I've never had any serious issues with mine, I had some errors when I took the card from my Note 2 and put it in my Note 3. Just formatted it and everything was fine again.

I really need to get a 64GB card, my 32GB gets filled up too quickly. :D

Think I'll wait for my vacation (2,5 weeks yay!), then go microSD card hunting. :)

I can think of two million other things to do when I'm on vacation.

Have fun and enjoy the time off! Some of us must work over December. :(

Yes five weeks, looking forward to it. Unfortunately I don't have someone to do my work while I'm on leave, so I can expect phone calls from work for at least the first three weeks.

Luckily I'm fortunate enough to be able to do my work from home, and if I don't feel like answering to the requests of the powers that be, I just let them know I'm out of town for a couple of days. :D

Mmmm....I think I will need quotes from all the graphic design companies in Oudtshoorn for a big project end of December. :D

wow.. I really want this phone badly ! but im not sure which contract to take it out on. I use mainly data... so the Telkom Note 3 with 5gigs is really appealing to me, the only down side is that I want the N9005 model for the snapdragon 800 processor. will probably browse and play games a lot on the phone, and I am weary of the phone overheating too much.

I got the afrihost deal with the mifi device. the signal is really good so far at my house and work.

Which contracts did you take the phone out on ? and normally how much data do you use a month ?

I am on about 1.21GB for the past week. And that will be just general browsing and social. No downloads.

Sheesh, same as Soldier11, would like the 9005.

Any real world difference between the 2 models?
Will LTE make a huge difference?

Other than the 3G & LTE, & 4K video (not really practical ATM), any other different features?

Both are so fast, that you don't really notice any difference between them.

However, the Exynos chipset (N9000) is faster when playing games.

Either one you pick, you will have a great phone.

the snapdragon 9005 variant will have more custom rom development though

That's weird. I was under the impression the N9005, with snapdragon 800 was more suited for intense gaming...

Similar trend to S4, I guess

This is correct... On the Exynos chip, there are 2 sets of processors. One clocks higher than they other, hence them giving it the name Octa-Core. Basically, the way it works, technically of course, is that during normal usage only one set of cores, while the other just lies idle. You won't notice any performance issues with only half the processor working. As soon as you start loading the CPU like with gaming, the second set kicks in and you have 8 cores slamming away... Same in the S4, and there has been lot's of criticism over the software that controls the cores. Apparently the big.LITTLE architecture of the CPU is a beta version that was carried over into production, so it's not making full use of the CPU's capabilities....

The Snapdragon CPU is a normal, high clocked CPU that is less power hungry and using different architecture, but it's equally and possible a better CPU for everyday use. Ofcourse, it only being 4 cores and not 8 like the Octa, high intensity usage won't be as good as the Octa, but really now, who sits the whole day and plays games on their devices... In everyday usage though, you might not even see a difference in the performance of the two...
