Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I find it better, but has its own quirks. Since it is free (for N3 anyway :-) ), install and give it a try. I like that it works offline, I have been between towns with no signal and needing directions. ..

I used it on my note 2 and will definitely download it for my note 3 as well.
I find myself using Google maps anyway but the fact that there is an alternative for when signal is lost or unusable (cell c although it has improved) makes it worth the download.

hey. So I have my note 3 from Telkom Mobile.. note 3 + 5 gigs of glory !!

the only probably is that im gonna have to cancel it due to no signal what so ever in my house or on my property. even though it says I have coverage on the Telkom map.

Anyway.. what is the cheapest way to get a Note 3 (LTE preferably) plus atleast a 1gig of data per month ??

The only cheap option I can foresee is to buy the phone prepaid on Bfore.co.za for R8750.. which will be about R365 per month if on contract... plus another R150 per month for a 1gig of data = R515 per month..

any thoughts on this ???

Hi guys

What is the model number of Note 3 available in SA?

Also, can anyone recommend a good Samsung based rom?

Thanks!

Get your data from Afrihost on your existing MTN sim.

R149 per month for 5GB.

That's what I use.

Is your phone set on network auto select?

In areas where there is no Telkom Mobile reception, it will automatically switch to MTN.

So....you get to use two networks for the price of one....pick your weapon of choice. :D

Only thing is that whne you are roaming on MTN, you only have 150MB data to use.

When you're on Telkom Mobile, you have 5GB data to use.

Yes im aware of it.

I use MTN roaming service when im at home... and 150mb isn't really much. I used it up in like a day or two.
The 5 gigs is only good as long as im not home.. and I do most of my chatting, web browsing etc when I am at home.

I cant go on like this for 2 years !

so on your phone do you have to change your APN settings when you want to you use your afrihost data ? or is it like normal data usage on a phone ?

I have a mifi device + 10gigs (soon to be 7gig) with them.. might have to ask if I can change it to my phone if it works out.

I use the Afrihost APN. I only get about 150MB data from MTN per month so I'm not really worried about changing my APN settings back to MTN.
