I'm not prepared to put a R100 fake cover on my R9000 phone.

You're still putting a R100 cover on your phone if you buy the "official" one. The difference is just that you pay 5 to 7 times as much.

I've heard about people who got the "fake" S-View flip Covers on their Note 3 that complain about scratches on their screens. I guess mine, that cost 5 to 7 time more, doesn't do that.

If you read a bit earlier in the thread, you'll see that people have the same complaint about the crazy expensive one. Maybe you're just lucky. Or just especially careful since your phone is still new.

Anyone using MapFactor? Any benefit to buying the maps? Its not expensive at 15 euros.

google or facebook cover concepts. Local company and they have covers for the note3 that are very cheap but good quality!

garmin is free in the samsung store iirc

You mean Navigon by garmin. Probably the worst navigation software on the planet.
Doesn't even closely resemble a garmin.
That's if you can get it to work after the huge update.
I stopped trying to use that and stick to Google maps

probably, just repeating another post a few pages

Google maps is nice, but I still prefer Sygic. No worries about having a signal (especially where I live), and no need to pre-cache maps.

+1

Sygic is also quite pretty when compared with Navigon, however, the routing is sometimes a bit dodgy. It always tries to get onto roads marked with a route number. This is a pain in the bum with the roadworks in Pretoria at the mo.

Also wish there was an avoidance option to miss violent or bad areas.
It's a must for SA I think. Cause Google and garmin seem to enjoy sending you thru the bad areas, especially when you got the wife and kids on board or a foreign visitor

The top 3mm of the phone sticks out. Thanks for the crappy tip. At least it wasn't expensive.

Never take someone else's word. One person's perfect is never the same as someone else's perfect.

Same with screen protectors. I won't put one on my Note3 because everyone has a different opinion. I always prepare for the worst.
