Like I said, better than nothing but not ideal as that nice silver edge strip is still vulnerable. It was the easiest thing to chip on the S3 and Note 2 and it's even worse on the Note 3 since it's a lot wider.

Not intending to be a grammar-nazi, but "unthankful" just so happens to be an actual word. It might not be used much, anymore, but I assure you, it does exist.

Do do we all agree that the Spigen SPG Neo Hybrid case is possibly the best cover/case for the Note 3, besides the Samsung stuff...? I'm just about to purchase one from SPG Amazon

I have mine and quite happy with it. I also have their ultra clear screen protector on and also quite happy with it too. The cover doesn't really make the phone "bulkier" imo, but it does add an extra level of protection.

There's also the UAG cover that looks awesome and has this video that passes the drop tests from about 2 meters (face down).

*Edit - I see that Spigen is launching their own S-View cover soon! ;)

Hate to disagree with you, but I like the Spigen Slim Armor more, too little colour and too much black in the Neo Hybrid for me...
 
Picked this little number up today. It does what I want it too. And I couldn't care less about the color.

I didn't expect it to be perfect to be honest, but it's better than nothing. Plus it's only R100 wasted so no biggie.

Gosh this dude is a drama queen of NOTE ;)

Look the case is not made for the Note 3 but I challenge you to find a better fitting, official case for R100. In fact if you gave it time you will see the case stretches to cover up the 3mm (which is negligible) gap.

Now I ask you if you KNEW it wouldn't be perfect why did you order it?:wtf:

Your strawmanning ability is impressive, are you a PD regular? No one ever said anything about knowing anything. I took the chance because it was quite cheap, because for some inexplicable reason the whole of SA seems to lack a Note 3 one and Amazon is pulling a "we can't ship to your address" again. Also since the Note 2 is bigger I figured it might be a little bit too big if anything. It will likely never stretch to fit the top of the phone, it's the wrong shape.

But like I have said, it's better than nothing. It's just not cool to tell a whole forum the thing fits "perfectly" when it clearly doesn't. It "sort of fits" is more accurate.

Did my OTA update from Vodacom last night. The only notes it gave was "improves stability" and something about a reactivation lock.

I'm also in the market for a case. I actually prefer the phone naked, but want to try it out with a case, without spending a lot or importing. Anyone in Cape Town still have a case for sale? Is that fong kong Neo Hybirid taken Henry?
 
I got my OTA update last night on Cell C... Was about 114mb, nothing major to report... It's now 4.4 yet, so don't get too excited...

Last night I ordered a Spigen Neo Hybrid on Amazon, after wasting R100 on that Note 2 pouch... At least now I have a pouch to carry my cables around with me to work and so forth. I hate getting my cables dirty. Hopefully my case comes around Xmas time, as they say delivery between 19-27 Dec. All in all, R520.... really not bad I tell you
