same problem, was fine in the beginning but since about December started getting worse
I have the SM900 (octa core) version though

It's normally an app causing battery drainage, especially apps with live updates enabled.

I have the LTE 9005 version. a friend of mine has the same phone and he gets a day and a half out of it. is there anything I can do to reduce the battery consumption without stopping short of actually using the phone . lol

When you get a call the Gear rings and the display lights up and give you the option to swipe to answer, or answer by voice command. The same with Google+, WhatsApp, Gmail, Messaging etc. The Gear makes a notification sound and the display lights up to show you a preview of the message. You're right it doesn't have a LED. You do however have the option to have your notifications as either Sound, Vibrate or Mute.

The Gear vibrates whenever it's out of range of your phone. A handy feature for those who tend to misplace their phones at home is the ability to find your phone with the Gear. Same goes for the Gear, you can find it with your phone.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Really regretting not getting the Gear bundled with my Note now. Sigh.

The only thing I want now is KitKat for my Note 3, I'm very happy with it. I know that I'll be tempted to get the Note 4, but I must resit. :D Think I'll hold out for the Note 5.

Anyone here that uses swiftkey or swiftkey beta? I have both and somewhere through using them, both stopped giving suggestions. Is this a trial period thing or something? Swiftkey has made me lazy and now it has taken away my gift of perfect spelling in both english and afrikaans

I think KitKat is living up to its word regarding better battery life.

1.4% per hour drain since I unplugged this AM (6.5 hours ago).

Wifi and data on 24/7. All Gmail sync, whatsapp, Llama, My Data Manager, Gentle Alarm, and GTalk running 24/7. Tapatalk notifications on and TT checking every 30 mins.

Normally by now I am close to 75% - which is still good.

Yip using SwiftKey beta, and have pro version, prefer beta for top number row. Beta was updated that's why u don't have predictions. Here is link for new version.
