Got to love it, had to redownload after major issues with the zip.... ended with a md5 miss matched. Downloaded at home, will flash and let you know once I am home.

This link says that my phone must be rooted first before installing the custom rom (X-Note v16)

So how do I root it?

ok so I rooted my phone. I am now attempting the X-Note install but when in recovery mode, I do not see the install from zip option.

In CWM it's the second option in main menu after Reboot. 2 - Install from zip > Install Zip from SD card.

Nope, no zip option.
There is ADB and some other stuff.

I just got an error saying that footer and 2 other things were wrong. The device rebooted.


Edit: I chose apply update from external storage.
then I chose X-Note_Build_16_NE4_Public.zip.

It hangs for a while on "install/sdcard..."

I ended up with a full wipe. Will getting all tweaks back as I go.

I'm not sure why that method didn't work but if you go a couple pages back I posted a method by Note3root.com that's worked for myself and w1tw0lf. Try it.

I've never dirty flashed before. I'm just lazy to set it up again. But I will install on the weekend.

Anyway, Set warranty bit??? Must've messed up again.

But I am at the point where I must choose a CSC now. Which one did you guys choose?
