cool thanks
same one you are using?
I bought the red one to match the car accent. But it's the same thing. Also bought the capdase USB 3.0 cable. It works but the connector end is thicker than the Samsung cable. So it doesn't fit so well with my shell cover. Other than that it's fine. R80 is a steal I think.

My question is can the car lighter socket produce 2.1mAh power?

I have no idea. Previously I had been given a car charger and it didn't charge the phone at all. That's why I took a chance on this cheapie.

I checked the output on the original Samsung charger and bought the car charger with the same numbers. And now all I know is that when I tested it, it charged fully in the same time as the wall charger.

That 10k battery pack is amazing, however its a bit too bulky. I suppose the fact its shatter proof and stuff adds some compensation for the size and bulk. However, wouldnt something like this Romoss Sailing 5 13000mAh Power Bank Be somewhat better? Its got a bigger battery (extra 3000mAh which is another full charge), for a lot less. And It doesnt add any bulk to the device.

Apart from being in the bush/camping or in a plane, I don't understand the need for a powerbank. Wherever else you could be should have a wall socket or a car charger. Otherwise yeah I can see how they can be an alternative to a thick ass battery.

I actually wonder how good the 10 000 mAh battery is, as R480 sound pretty cheap ...

I've heard of stories where one buys similar fantastic bargains and once you open the box, find a 'small' battery inside - says typically '10 000 mAh' on the box, but inside the unit one finds a '1 000 mAh' battery !!!

I have a Yoobao 15600mAh Power Bank. I bought it at Due South for R1400. It fully charges my Note3 about 4 times.

I know it's expensive but it's the best Power Bank I've ever owned.

I've sold all my previous ones.

@w1tw0lf

The dropped WiFi is starting to kill me now. I'm still on NC bootloader and running NF rom. Need to upgrade the Bootloader/Modem. I've been looking at guides and stuff. This is fahadali2315's on XDA.

1.Power off your phone ( Don't Restart)
2.Press Power + Volume Down + Home buttons until you see download mode .
3. Attach it your PC and open ODIN 3.07 OR 3.09
4. Select AP/PDA and ADD your .tar file or .bin file
5. START
6.It will restart itself .
Go to Settings>> About Device >> and Check Your baseband/bootloader has changed or not.
If not start the procedure again . I did it twice to make it work.

He doesn't explain this very clearly. I understand everything except the part where he says select AP/PDA. In Odin 3.09 there is only AP in slot 2. So do I use AP to flash both the modem and bootloader? Becuase in the first slot there is 'BL' surely this means bootloader?

Edit: I found this in the S4 forums:

1. rightclick on Odin and start it as administrator.
2. Now open the windows taskmaster. End all "Kies" processes.
3. In Odin untick "Auto reboot"
4. For the bootloader select BL and browse to your bootloader file.
5. For the modem select CP and browse to your modem file.
The next step is VERY IMPORTANT
6. Power off your phone
7. Start your phone into download mode by holding Vol down, and power button.
IMPORTANT: DON'T REBOOT INTO DOWNLOAD MODE FROM YOUR POWER MENU! ALWAYS USE THE THREE BUTTON COMBO!
8. Once your phone is in download mode, connect it to your PC. (Best results always with your original Samsung USB cable)

Odin should say "Added" now.
9. Press the Start button in Odin and let it do it's magic.
wait about 2 - 5 minutes.
10. When Odin shows "PASS" you can unplug your phone.
IMPORTANT: WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE "PASS" DO NOT UNPLUG THE PHONE BEFORE!
11. When you have unplugged your phone, it is still in download mode. Just hold the power button about 8 seconds until your phone reboots.
DONE
Go to Settings/my device/about phone. There you will see your new baseband.

Would that work?

Thats a nice sized battery - Wow ... And the price seems fairly reasonable taking everything into account ... I would be more likely to buy the same product as you did Piesang, than the one mentioned earlier at R480 just because the R480 item seems 'too good to be true' -- *Grin ...

This would be the correct way to do it. That's how i have been doing it. Just make sure you switch the phone of before attempting it otherwise it won't flash/update.

Have a look at reviews on the Romoss Seiling Battery. Its actually built REALLY REALLY well, which is why i presented it as an alternative to the zerolemon.

Thanks bru everything went well. Got one error in tasker about my Ivonia voice being wrong locale. Not sure what that is about but everything else is 100% so far.

At last a MTN are offering LTE on prepaid.

Please can someone tell me if the Note 3 LTE works on MTN.

Tks

Thank you very much Piesang. That's good news because MTN has the best signal where we are.

Sh*t... the X-Note Dev has been taken down for demanding donations and paid themes.
