Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Looks like I will be hanging onto my Note 3 for longer than expected. Unless something better (and also not ridiculously expensive) comes along, I will used it till it can't no more.
I am considering a dual sim phone at this point anyway. But let's see what happens.

I've never owned a LG, but I will consider it when I buy my next phone. I'm cancelling all my contracts and going pre-paid, so price will probably also play a role when choosing my next phone.

Go look at my G4 vs S6 comparison to give you some real world experience ideas #selfishplug :p

Hopefully Huawei, with their new focus on SA markets will bring in a couple of these. I'm also planning to let my contract run its course (can upgrade 01/08/2015) and check out the options until something worth upgrading to comes along.

I'm very surprised that Samsung is prepared to just blindly continue on this path after the poorer than expected sales of the S6 / S6 Edge and the numerous negative comments on the Note 5's expected design. I've always been a it of a Sammy fanboy, but this might change soon.

Having had all the Note devices since the first, I think it is time for something else.
Something with a removable battery and expandable storage.
Maybe the new Sony Z3+?

Can't wait for this beast, if it has MicroSD and/or a 4100mAh battery plus a 128GB variant, I may just beat faniedry to getting as I did with the Note 4 days before release :p #ShotsFired

Note 4 = big thumbs up. Stunning device.
Yeah. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. My contact expires in a month or two and I can't decide which device I want to go for.

I never used a microSD card on my note 2 but I feel like I might with my next phone so I'm not sure if not having a microSD slot will make me less likely to get the note 5.

What do you guys think the note 5 will cost on contract when it comes out? I can imagine that the note 4 will be extremely cheap after the note 5 comes out so that'll probably be a big plus for me getting the note 4.

Dont hope too much for a big price reduction. After the S6 arrived the price of the S5 on contract barely budged. The cash price is quite a bit lower than what it used to be.

Samsungs are in high demand here, so don't expect major drops in their pricing.
So you guys don't MTN will drop the price of the note 4 again like they did a month or two ago from R559 to R499?
