Samsung Galaxy S10

One thing I miss from my S9+ is the ability to swipe down on the back fingerprint reader to open up the notifications. Was perfect for one handed operation. Now I need to use my other hand to swipe down on the screen.

You referring to swiping from the bottom corner to make the screen size smaller.

I'm talking about being able to pull the notification panel down while not on the home screen.

With S9±, no matter what application is open, swiping down on the back fingerprint reader with your index finger would open or close the notification panel.

I finally got my S10 yesterday from telkom. Dual sim without the duos branding on the back is nice.
Really impressed with one ui and android 9, some of the notification stuff I haven't tested out yet.
I can finally use aptx and LDAC with my bluetooth headphones!

Signed up for the buds and got a confirmation email.
Will get the R500 off cover later today.

R500 for a new battery doesn't seem too bad seeing how the phone is inside.

That's service is brilliant for that price!

So why take a phone without a back fingerprint scanner

Wasn't really aware how much more convenient it was having the fingerprint reader at the back than in the front. It was also not the determining factor in getting the phone.

Or should I not give my opinion on one of the features of the phone simply because I consider it a negative feature when compared to my previous phone which was the S9+.

This phone is a whole lot more than S9+ and I was simply stating one feature I preferred on the S9+ when compared to the S10+.

Battery on the S10+ is excellent.

This is my first full day with the phone and still setting a few things up and seeing how everything works. Screenshot_20190323-183144_Settings.jpeg

Pic taken with the wide angle lens this morning. Other folk couldn't get that whole rainbow in 1 shot.

Not really impressed with my S10 battery life
Barely getting 3 hours SOT

My S9 plus was better in terms of battery

Anyone else experiencing the same or is it just me?

Same. With the S10e. I feel like I'm always below 50% battery.

Cant give exact numbers , but mine has been better than that . I dont Game though , but I am plenty heavy on e mail ,web browsing , messaging and I use the camera a fair bit

I'll charge it up to 100% and post my results after the cycle .

Mine just seems to charge slower than I'm used to, mind you I suppose I am comparing it to a oneplus 6 .....

From what I have seen the s10 vanilla is the worst of the s10's ITO battery. The S9+ has a bigger battery.
On my S10e the battery wasn't that great for the first week but has since improved. It had extremely high android system usage but that went away. I normally end the day now with 30+%.
I've also switched to dark mode which I have heard consumes a lot less battery. It could be that.

Mine has been on dark mode since day 2 and it's still pretty poor :crying:

S10+ from full to empty and back to fully charged.

18 hours on battery. Put it on the charger at 2%.Screenshot_20190325-000309_Settings.jpeg

Haven't really noticed my battery at all.
Just got my buds delivered.

I'm not one for power saving modes and always have everything on and on full beast mode

WQHD / Bluetooth / Location / Dolyb Atmos / Data & WiFi - On all the time (screen brightness set to auto)

Has anyone tried adaptive power saving mode?
