Samsung Galaxy S21

When they advertise or offer these amazing deals and the stock is so limited they really should put a warning up so as to not get everyone's hopes up for nothing.

Reminds me of a really cheap OnePlus 7 deal Vodacom Online offered 3 years ago, I applied and they strung me along for 3 weeks for no good reason. It didn't need to drag on so long but I happened to get the guy doing WFH who seemed really slack at his job and additionally they messed up the contract vetting process.
That really is BS :-(

I highly doubt they have stock of the phone. Shouldn't get our hopes up for any call backs. On another note seems like their sales is all outsourced to a call centre which is frustrating

I applied on Saturday on the website but got an email back stating no stock. Shortly after I got a call from mtn stating they had one. Contract was done and approved over phone and I accepted the debit order debicheck thing. Will let you if they actually deliver the phone or if it was just an over zealous salesman hoping they still had.

I did mine on Saturday, got the same mail and it's been over 48 hours sigh.

Only day 3 with device but very happy. Was going to wait till bf for the a54 but this was the better choice. Ps they did say on the site limited stock or some type of warning

Definitely looks like there is no stock. Got a call back from the agent again.

No further info from MTN so far. Bit angry that they got me to do a credit check and accept debit order mandate but clearly stock was gone already. Did try and call today but after 10 mins of waiting I gave up. Will see if there is an email to contact. You would think they would try to sell me something else lol.

These companies really know how to damage their brand, though often these online sales are outsourced. When Vodacom Online (or whatever entity runs that side of things) messed me around for weeks on that OnePlus 7t deal, IIRC the manager did speak to me, I expressed my frustration and she asked how could they make it up to me, I said offer me a good deal, then they never came back to me after that!

Yip, guess we all lost out on a good deal. Poor form by MTN for giving me the run around. I never get companies and their lack of communication, always leaves a bad taste when you are left in the dark with things.
Hope they dont try and debit my account but my understanding is contract is only activate once the sim has been activated. Hopefully black friday has something good.

Did any actual human being actually get one at the quoted price??
Yes
I received the phone this morning.
Can confirm it is dual sim and also esim.

Battery was completely dead. Had to put it on a wall charger for a few minutes to get it booting.

Currently updating to latest software.
^^

Anyone experiencing bad call quality?
Coming from iPhone when on a call, the line is very bad and keeps breaking up. Callers can hardly hear me.
I have switched off 5g to see if it might help the issue.
I did a quick Google search and it seems to be a known issue.

Using wifi calling or normal calling?

Got the phone call almost 2 weeks after applying, they don't have stock. I'm like really I applied almost 2 weeks ago, perhaps if you'd contacted me then. Lots of apologies.
