Samsung Galaxy S4 contract pricing comparison

How to screw your customer, give him 100mb per month on a galaxy s4.

This has probably been discussed - but surely the 1.9ghz 4 core is faster than the 8 core processor?

Its not about the Ghz.

Done an Antutu bench on mine, 28k.

The comparison table speaks for itself, Cell C has the best deals by far and the best value. Voice on Cell C is no worse than I used to experience on Vodacom. Data is still sluggish at times but not dead....

I have wifi at home and work so Cell C was a no brainer for me!

IMHO, Cell C have been very clever to use the S4 as a push to increase subscriber numbers. They have clearly cut profit margins to the bone but will be rewarded with many new customers who port over. I am one of them!

Ditto.
I dropped Vodacom and switched to CellC mainly for the simple to understand, cheap tariffs and the fact that the plans offer a sane amount of data for smartphones.
I'm Paying R399 per month for a Note II with the Smart 100 plan and 400MB of data x 24 months.
Vodacom and MTN screw their customers over when it comes to data for smart phones.

Same here. I do all the grunt work (downloads, Youtube, etc.) at home or work on uncapped connections and use the mobile data on the road for syncing docs, email, etc.
CellC customers roam on Vodacom's network when there is no network coverage and so far I've only had a couple of times when I could not get a data connection.

I think that Samsung are fibbing.

Every S4 that I have seen at any retail store (and at their own exhibit) has been the I9505.

Snap! I have never not had whatsapp facility which is my number 1 data priority when I am out of wifi coverage.

How did you know it was the I9505? Did you take the back cover and battery off to view the sticker inside the phone? My questioning is sincere as there is no exterior difference between the 2.

There is a small exterior difference- the I9505 has the Qualcomm 4G sticker on top. Had to explain this to the guys working the Samsung stand yesterday :)

I haven't checked the sticker on the inside, but the device lists itself as I9505 when viewing the "About phone" feature. Checked this on all 20 phones that are on display at Sandton City, same thing...

I do want the Exynos based I9500 though, for a few reasons.

Yip - I was under the impression only Vodacom has the Exynos.

Surprisingly, I understand the Quad is not giving better battery life, but is giving impressive speed.

The only thing that makes sense to me: the I9505 is still undergoing network operator testing- hence why it is not officially available- but due to its greater availability, is being used as a demo unit...
