Samsung Galaxy S4

Paranoid android isn't too great, it's like bare minimum Android.
On the S4, the pure nexus Google edition is the best. Looks nice, more complete.

On my note 8.0 I'm using paranoid and thinking of trying CM nightlies instead.

Google edition is only available for i9505. PA is almost identical to pure android anyway, so the differences are moot. It is minimal compared to CM for instance as you say...

You guys also get the email notifying of the "Cancellation of Samsung ADH Plus Insurance Policy"?

My screen has one or two very faint scratches on it, wonder if I should make use of ADH before it's no more... :o

Adh screen replacement is not being cancelled. Only the insurance stuff. I am insured with my home contents.

Eish. Tell me about it. Now I have to shop for insurance again. Any good rates out there?
 
So my phone just randomly started going into a boot cycle last night. I haven't installed any apps or updated the software. You will be using it and then it just turns off and starts booting up over and over again. Only way to stop is to take the battery out.

ideas...

don't have a micro sd card. Didn't feel like resetting but guess i'm going to have to..

NOOOO!!!!

Boot it into Recovery Mode by holding down Power, Volume Up and Home button, then whipe Dalvik Cache and Partition and Reboot System.

May I also ask, do you have a case on your GS4? Check that it isn't holding down one of your volume buttons as that can cause the phone to act weird when booting up, also check that your Volume buttons aren't bent.

will wiping dalvik delete my photos etc

I do have a case but it does this without the case to.

Whats the Build Number? I got a 100mb update on mine last week, I'm on SER (Russian CSC), updated to NG3.

Mine came through late last week. It states it improves stability but my phone now appears to use a bit more battery....
 
I got updates to my S4 and note 8 aosp roms last week - they both using more battery since then :(
