Why?
convenience and laziness - had 1 of these when I had my S4
Do not have to worry about putting your phone to charge......just wake up in the morning and swap batteries or get home from work etc and have a fully charged battery ready for you

Why not get one of the gigantic batteries available for the phone?
because they are not original Samsung products and most of them require you to get a bulkier back cover to compensate for the extra juice......also some don't have NFC on it, which I use daily
