Samsung Galaxy S5

Ive dropped my S3 on various occasions, so far so good... Seen someone else drop his 40cm and the glass shattered. Sometimes you are lucky sometimes you're not... Guess it depends on the angle, impact, surface, weak-point in your particular device etc.

I recently downloaded the new Android L designed Google Chrome browser and must say that it's super smooth and looks very nice.

Very very excited for an Android L release for the Galaxy S5!! Come on, Samsung, move it!

You'll first have to wait for google to officially release it, and only after that can Samsung start their modifications. Don't think it will be anytime soon.
 
I am waiting for the Google Play Edition of S5 then I will just load that rom. I use Chrome Beta that has the material design for a while. Got the the Android L keyboard too.

That's my plan. But what are the chances of getting a GPe on the S5? They pulled the S4 GPe ages ago and everyone thought it was to make way for the S5,but still nothing.

Ya I know nothings happening on that front but it could be Samsung just waiting for Android L to be released and then S5 GPE will be based on Android L. That will be brilliant.

That would cause problems as the mainboard does not support it. You might need to have the mainbord of the device changed in order to have GPE.

Lol...Nice try for a freebie.

I think if the GPE device does come out then it will probably be stripped for the relevant files from the system dump and other roms could use what they need. So CM11 will then be able to support G900H and all variants. We will be able to get more AOSP roms for the S5 probably.
 
Has anybody tried to use the "Hide number" in the Caller ID? I can't seem to make outgoing calls with it selected. I wonder is it MTN's issue?
 
I paid Call Line Identity Monthly Fee and the CLI Monthy Fee on my monthly contract. Not sure what is CLIR?
I'll just go into an MTN Store tomz to query this.

Call Line Identity Restriction
Its free just call 808 to activate it.
Just note that makes the network default to Hide your Phone number, so you need to go into settings and set your Caller ID from network Default to show ID (at least i have to not sure if its the same for everyone)
