In the forum settings, under Notifications - uncheck both Subscribed Topics and Subscribed Forum. Check PM, Quoted and Mentioned. Then see if you still get notifications.

Don't uncheck subscribed forum...

Doesn't make sense ... I don't want all posts in a subscribed forum to pop up. Just when I get a PM, I am quoted or if someone skinners of me.

Does make sense, if not ticked you get no notifications from the forum at all.
I leave all ticked.

I get notifications for Quotations, Mentions, PM's and subscribed threads (if I was mad in the head I could also subscribe to entire categories like off topic, news and announcements etc).

I will see how it goes ...

Hmmm, that's why then I think... when I reply to a thread, I auto subscribe to it... I can then browse the threads I've been in through the 'subscribed threads' link.

I don't want notifications when someone else quotes and posts on someone else's comment. Just when they quote me, or @ me.

Think we are getting closer to the problem here.

You better @OGroteKoning

And @fanie.dry, time to ask em to take the . out of your name :p

In fact ask them to change your username. I believe MafiaCheat is still available :p :D

faggaf!

i don't have 'subscribed threads' ticked under notifications, so think that's why the mentions doesn't work. let me quickly change that... and test... brb.

I use Participated to view what I have participated in :)
I only subscribe to interesting (to me) threads and I unsubscribe from dead or derailed threads about once a week.

Didn't get the mention one or your quote now, but did get @fanie.dry 's quote

Click my name (top left) and under activity I click my name again if I want to remove "friends" from the list.

Don't think you quite understand what I meant.

By clicking that, I can see all the threads I've replied in, because I auto-subscribe to all the thread i reply in... ;) How do you view this based on participation?

It looks like the same list you get if you click your own name next to a post you made then click "view forum posts" or click on your name at the top then click "Find latest posts"

The only difference between my subscribed and yours is that mine shows only threads I subscribed to because I am interested in that topic.
You are getting information you can get in 2 different ways there (3 actually if you include just clicking your name at the top and viewing the list that pops up in front of you).

(ur doin it rong) :p

lol you're such a poophole LOL

I don't want to look at my own posts, I want to look at the threads! Don't you think looking at your own posts is a little self centered? :p

Seriously though, how do you see if the threads that you have posted has any new posts? (which you have not subscribed to)
