All seems to be well now. Reflashed, still had no wifi data, changed channels with no luck and then switched the wifi router off and on again and now everything is working. Data bundle not depleted.

Strange isn't it?
Thank you for all your help. My verves are shot after this, will have to book myself into an institution before i give lollipop a go.

Glad it's sorted.

Sometimes it's the moon phase that interferes with electrical appliances.

Your verves will be fine! Glad your wifi circuitry wasn't fried.

The back of a gold S5 feels different to the back of a black S5. The gold one is not so rubbery :erm:

Yes, I don't understand what the big deal is.

Sony is back, there a new Nexus, and lots of new phones.

It's plain stupid to think you can still get the same amount of sales. Besides, the S4 is a great phone and lots of people still have it. They will naturally skip the S5 and get the S6.

Also a lot of people who jumped on with the S3 saw basically the exact design ethos rinsed and repeated with the next two s series phones. They're bound to jump ship in search of something fresh and less "meh".
